Going through Ample Forest will lead one to Ample Town, a rather large community housing a gym and ruins.
The forest it's self has an abundance of Pokemon.

Ample Town is one of the larger towns on the Island. It contains the Ample Gym and is located near Unknown Ruins.
From Ample town one could travel down Route 2 to Border Town or up Route 8 toward the Battle Area.

Border Town is a small, but bustling farming community, that surprisingly contains a Pokemon Gym. Ranches are scattered throughout the area and a many a festival is thrown come fall time.

Lakewood is a humble town near the base of the western mountains. The Lakewood Gym in located within the town and great training can be offered in the neighboring mountains.

When climbing Frost Mountain trainers will come across a large ledge with a dense forest that is home to a vast amount of Bird Pokemon and well as others.
At the top of the mount ice Pokemon can be found wandering freely.

Apalos Cave is the link between Routes 12 and 13. It is a monstrous cave with many levels and one can easily get lost when exsploring it's hidden chambers, however, it is a straight shot trough the cave to reach Route 13.

Farr Town, the near by forests and hilly terrain is next to impassible, so trainer have to venture through the Apalos Cave to reach it. Farr Town is a heavily secluded, little town with a powerful gym.
