Liam watched his attack clearly miss, but his head turned and his eyes never blinked. They were locked onto Lyndis as his attack failed. Using her momentum, she intended to spin and land a solid kick on him. Liam's arm was right there, easy to block.
Yet, he moved it. Right out of the way so the kick made solid contact with his head. The frog even made a small grunt from the pain of the impact. But Liam's eyes never flickered from Lyndis's. That was intention. An intentional hit. Only one explaination for that...
"...to test power, then retaliate," Alix murmured through the rain, quiet enough that the two fighting pokemon wouldn't take notice, but Akira just might. She grinned, despite her pokemon just taking what looked to be an easy block. That had to have done some decent damage.
But why take a hit? Just as Alix had stated. Liam's movement was smooth and fluid, similar to the weasel's. When she had scored her leg into his open cheek, he pinched his arm up to trap it there. Now that he had gaged her strength and speed, Liam twisted sharply. His open hand that he had jabbed with darted under the 'thigh' of the captured leg. Grasping her ankle with the other, Liam threw his shoulders to the left and turned, aiming to flip and slam the opponent into the ground by using her own attack as leverage. Whether she was able to avoid it or not, Liam backed up to give her time to recollect herself.
In a sense, he did the same. Beads of water trickled down his injured face before something happened. The toad turned a dim green, giving off a little glow in the storm. Smacking his palms together in the same method that he had to catch her attention before, Liam waited for the weasel to make a new move. His cheek was no longer injured.
Alix hummed on the side, impressed with Liam's tactics. 'Couldn't have taught him better myself~' she though cheerfully, silently boasting to herself and pumping up her pride. She'd never brag though. She was just happy that Liam had picked more than a few things up from training. Akira muttered something, which Alix responded to quickly. "Yes, very. Lyndis is quite quick. You must have trained her well." Alix complimented, as she was impressed with the demonstration of flexibility and agility. Come to think of it, his pikachu was also highly skilled in the same categories. Alix nodded without reason. Yes yes, this was a good trainer.
'I wonder if I should tell him that Liam can't be beat in the rain. He regenerates. Meh, he'll figure it out on his own if he's as good as I think he is~'

Lyndis gave a grunt as her kick hit. Bah, he moved his hand on purpose. What a pain. Did he really that that she was that weak? COME ON! She was a freaking fighting type, That was one of the most disrespectful things to do (in her pokemon family). She would have to show him how it was done in her pokefamily.
Hmm...it looked like he was going to try a judo throw on her. Well, if she wasn't from the Isshu region she wouldn't be able to tell this. She had to fight many Throh during her days in the wild. She she knew exactly how to break a fall. First she had to allow herself to be thrown.
She relaxed her body as he took hold of her foot. She let her body be taken into the air. She while she was in the air, she made sure that everything, was as lose as could be so that she could be as LIGHT as she could be. So as she soon as she went over the Croagunks head she tightened her muscles so that she would become heavier. She moved her arms down towards the ground.
As soon as her hands touch the ground she, broke the fall by turning into a ball and rolling across the field. But because of the impact, dirt flew into the air making it look like there was more damage done then was actually was. In fact, the only thing that really recieved damage from the throw was her arms. But because of the spring like motion that she did with them, they didn't take the full impact of the throw.
As the cloud of dirt started to dissipate, she rolled out of her ball and stood tall and firm. Unwavering looking at her opponent. She would not give up. No matter what.
Akira gave a quite a loud chuckle. Interesting, INTERESTING. Both the trainer and pokemon were quite odd....but they knew what they were doing. Akira looked down at Alix with excitement in his eyes. She would be wonderful to go against here and there. She could even help with his combinations. He was even thinking about telling Lyndis to use one right now. But he knew that he couldn't do that.
The moment he looked down at her, she opened her mouth and said something...quite peculiar. He gave a small laugh and uttered, "I suppose so, my pokemon seem to all like to use their speed to attack. So I made sure to coordinate that into their attacks and training."
[/b] Akira looked at the Croagunk and smiled when a slight glow happened. Yes, he's ability was what he thought it was. This battle would last awhile....Probably ending in Lyndis losing the battle. The Croagunk's ability was Dry Skin, he would contuinosly heal in this rain. Akira looked down at Alix from the corner of his eye and saw her nod her head. Akira knew that she must be thinking that he would call the battle off do to the rain and her pokemon's ability....But what kind of fun is that? The battle would continue on. Lyndis looked at the Croagunk. She looked at her trainer who was smiling. She gave a smile to him and gave a small blush. He was watching her. For the first time since he caught her. He was actually watching her and her alone. Not that stupid Flyff. Okay, since he was watching. She had to control her anger. She took in a deep breath and looked at the Croagunk. Okay, the Croagunk was a pokemon that looked like he was the kind of pokemon that would use her own power against her, but even with that, he was still strong in general. She gave a slight nod before deciding what to do. She would allow him to attack her. She let her arms fall to her sides and looked at the Croagunk. She then motioned for him to attack. It was his turn to strike her. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Liam was surprised by the power of the speedy weasel. That actually hurt. So, she had power. Interesting. A lot of power. Power and speed. Ah, but how was her defense? Liam tossed her and she reacted smoothly, taking most of the edge out of the throw. Liam stared with uncanny eyes. He hadn't battled an opponent like this in a while. In fact, had he ever battled an opponent like this? Riley maybe, but he had an advantage on Riley. Plus, he was Alix's rookie. Not like that would stop him. He was very tenacious, despite the fact that he didn't seem it.
The frog watched as the weasel rolled through the dirt, minimizing damage. He rubbed his cheek gently, which stung slightly, despite the healing effect that the rain had. Lyndis soon recooperated, rising quickly and standing erect. Liam smiled at her enthusiasm. Could he match it?
Alix was rather content in her position. She hadn't been able to actually watch her pokemon fight without commanding it. Weird. It felt odd, but it also gave her the chance to see how Liam had taken to her training and how she could improve his battle strategies. The brunette puffed out a sigh as she tucked a loose strand into her hat. The rain felt gross now as her clothes seemed to cling to her. Yuck. But the fight was entertaining.
Alix turned her head to Akira as he told her about his previous training records. Ah, so they were more alike in more ways than one. Alix loved to use speed as well. However, Riley was her main speed demon. Liam was more powerful, hands on wise, while Felix was the fire powerhouse. She had a mixed bag of pokemon, but that never deferred her. Who cares if she had a team of all the same pokemon? She loved her crew. And they loved her (hopefully. Riley.... it was questionable with her). They were with her because they wanted to be. And Alix only took pokemon that needed her help, or would be better off with her. Like in Liam's case. She found the tyke out in the desert on a hot day. How he got there was beyond her, but he was exhausted and dying. She took him to water, but he seemed to take a liking to her so she kept him. Riley's story is similar. She was losing territorial battles and starving. And Felix was given to her. She smiled to herself at the memories. She loved her crew.
"I see. Speed is a great tactic. I use it too, but I can tell that I've lost that battle to you," she said with a playful wink. Lyndis was most certainly faster than Liam, but speed didn't win a battle. Although, it certainly does help. She watched him carefully to see his reaction to Liam's ability. He seemed indifferent, but Alix decided to speak. "Um, the weather is giving Liam an advantage. Do you want to stop?" Although, Liam had rain dance in his arsenal, so Alix was being silly. But because this rain wasn't induced, she felt guilty to reap the benefits of it.
Liam however, was far from stopping. The weasel extended a gesture, one that was calling him for an attack. The frog lowered himself, puffing his cheeks numerous times as his fingers began to glow. Alix watched silently. He was circulating poison to his hands, which would make sparing difficult for the weasel. Liam then charged wasting no time.
He approached Lyndis with admirable speed, but again, could she outdo it? Probably. So Liam dropped his one arm swiftly, catching the ground. Combined with the swinging arm motion and his momentum, the wet dirt from his sneaky Mud Shot propelled forward faster than Liam could charge. Though, his was right behind it, throwing a flurry of extended arm jabs and punches, hoping for contact.

Lyndis saw the toad like pokemon staring at her with his unwavering eyes. She gave a slight shudder, she knew she was beautiful and all, but she hated that she attracted the attention of pokemon of….well, for the lack of better describing words, ugly pokemon. Well, if he was going to look, she might as well give him a taste of what he would never get. Lyndis stood straight and rubbed her body down with her hands and gave a small wink towards the toad pokemon.
Akira eye twitched slightly as he’s pokemon did this. What was she doing? She did realize she was in the middle of a battle right? He gave a face palm and looked back towards the Croagunk. To his suprsise…The Croagunk was smiling. Does that mean the Croagunk was interested in Lyndis?! What was going on. He was so lost. Wait, no. The Croagunk was only smiling because of the roll Lyndis did….Right?
Akira looked at Alix as she spoke and suddenly remembered that he was standing next to a girl. He followed her words, but it was obvious to him that he was paying more attention to the slight curves of Alix then anything else. He face became slightly red and he turned his head slightly. The wink she gave didn’t help him either. He gave a sigh before reaching into his bag and grabbing a loose hoodie. He threw it to Alix and said shyly, “Please put this on….please.”
[/b]. After saying that, the last thing that left Alix’s lips checked in. Akira gave a small chuckle before looking down at Alix. “Why would I stop the battle for a little rain? After all, whose to say that I won‘t be put into a situations like this later on? Besides. Its more fun this way, no?” [/b] said Akira with a little bit of playfulness in his voice. Lyndis after giving her little performance was watching the toad closely. Her arms were loose and ready to be whipped. Lyndis watched as a slightly purple aura came around the toads hands. Hmmmm, poison huh? Fine, if the toad was going to moves, so would she. Her feet at first starting to glow a brilliant blue before the blue started to engulf both of her legs. She was surrounding her legs with the power of Aura Sphere. It was quite obvious to anyone that this battle was between a kicker and a puncher just by looking at the glows on either pokemon. Though the Croagunk came at her with a speedy effect, she didn’t move one step. She kept her eyes glued to the toads eyes. She had learned from her mother that you could find out someone elses moves by looking into their eyes. Though, this was her first time attempting it. So she was caught off guard as a Mud Shot came flying at her. The Mud Shot landed a clean hit on her and sit her back a little. Which luckily for her helped her seeing the charging Croagunk behind it. Her eyes became focused as she matched the toads arms with her legs. Both colors of purple and blue went flying into the air as each of the punches and kicks collided with each other. It was a beautiful sight to behold. Akira gave a soft smile. He looked at Lyndis. She had been poisoned as well. So as time went by she would get hurt while the Croagunk would become healed. He knew even if he would stop the fight due to the poison and the weather conditions, Lyndis would be even more hurt. That is, her pride would be hurt. [/blockquote][/size][/blockquote]

Liam couldn't help but scoff in annoyance as the Kofoju ran her grimy paws down her body. Okay, he admired her skills as a fighter, but any appreciation that he had of her before just sunk. Like, below his feet. What trash. Liam raised a pair of eyebrows before uttering one simple croak that clearly showed the 'interest' level that he had in her. Translation? One simple word: Slut.
Alix responded in a similar way. Her expression hardened and became unreadable to outsiders. Why would a pokemon do that? What scum. She only did that to tease. Anger bubbled in her stomach as she watched silently. Alix dealt with enough girls that tended to have that mindset. Too hot to touch? Please. This enraged Alix. She knew damn well that she could pull the same sort of stunt. She had the body figure to somewhat do it. However, it was the lowest form of a body image in Alix's eyes, not to mention rather rude to the person that you were teasing. A person or pokemon that performed actions like that deserved no respect. If this boy hadn't been so nice to her, she would have spat on the battlefield. Tch, Liam was not fodder to be toyed with. Liam was a gem. Alix loved Liam. All of him. Sure, he wasn't the most adorable pokemon, but did that really matter? Aren't all morals based on 'it's what's on the inside that counts?'
Alix had determined that this boy was some sort of coordinator before. Had he trained this into her attitude? To be a snobby piece of eye candy for judges? Some kind of... routine to perform? Alix ground her teeth together as her eyes narrowed into a glare. She remained silent to cap her anger until something was then tossed her way that derailed her growing rage. Confused, Alix pulled it from her head to look at it. A sweater? A command/plea followed, informing her that she was to wear it.
'Why don't you give it to your slutty pokemon? She needs it more than me,' Alix thought harshly, but did as he asked. She didn't see why. Sure, her already-baggy sweater had pressed a little more than normal to her body shape, but so what? It was still two-sizes to big and made her look like she had the body shape of a watermelon. Annoyance settled in her bosom as her gaze flickered to the boy, who was trying to act playful now. A curt nod was her only response as she tugged her cap down, shielding her glowering eyes.
Liam didn't hesitate to add an extra dosage of venom to his punches as he viciously attacked the weasel. Liam's vast sea of patience had been interrupted and his anger stirred, similar to his unhappy trainer. The result? The colliding kicks and punches resulted in the weasel's poisoning. Noticing such, Liam leaped backwards, out of range as he slowly ran a hand along his bruised forearms. The weasel packed power, but this was enough.
"This battle is over," Alix said, stepping forward as Liam instantly took two bounds to reach her. She quickly removed the bulky clothing article that she had worn for only a few seconds and tossed it back to the boy. "It was nice meeting you, but we have to go." Turning, Alix felt a mix of emotions. Not just anger, but... was it jealousy? No, more like a disturbance in her confidence. She wasn't ready to deal with men. Not yet.
Would she ever be? No one knows.
