Wait. He won? Just like that? Castor stood stunned; it must be a fluke, right? Never had he thought he’d see the day where he’d beat not one, but two gym leaders in battle. Then again… The gym leaders weren’t meant to be invincible, they were meant to be teachers.
Castor looked to the cat with a smile and begun pulling Othoniel’s pokéball from his belt, however his face instantly distorted in confusion as Othoniel began to shimmer before him. It appeared as if the meowth was using sunny day or something of the like, but he had no such moves in his set, which could mean only one thing. The wild cat was evolving.
Othoniel’s size and shape first pulsed and then changed into that of a large feline. Next the brilliant white aura that first signaled the evolution faded and revealed Othoniel’s new form, persian.
”Perrrrr~ sian” the cat smugly purred as he flexed his new claws, which caused Castor let out a nervous laugh – Othoniel was going to be even harder to train now, completely unreasonable. The white haired boy then tucked away the pokeball he’d just pulled free from his belt, Othoniel could wander free beside him, he didn’t need to return.
At some point during the evolution Kimi had left the stadium and was now returning with a badge and an arm load of potions, ”I know it isn’t must, but I have some potions from and event a while ago, I thought maybe we might need them now or later.” She murmured.
Kitsumaru took the potions from Kimi and quickly used them on his Pokemon and then handed Castor the Boron City badge, ”well. I suppose that's it. I think we had better get going. We really need to start recruiting trainers to face Team Rocket. Things are getting out of hand and at a rapid rate. The sooner we get going the better. But where should we look?”
That was right, Castor had almost completely forgotten. Between winning the battle and Othoniel evolving Team Rocket hadn’t crossed his mind… ”I – I would check Farr Town. It’s secluded, untouched. I’d hide there, maybe others have too.”
