Iona Island

__ Not so pretty, is it?

Team Rocket’s actions have devastated Iona. Their nefarious exploits provoked the island deities and in their madness they induced a number of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, storms and tidal waves that ravaged the land; a real end of days scenario. Entire cities have been destroyed and so have many of the the people who lived in them. To make matters worse, legends are no longer legends in Iona. The “legendary" dogs, birds, sprites, and guards were all unchained, and a number of evolutionary stones have been irradiated by the power of these Pokémon and transformed into Mega Stones. And that's just the start of Iona’s problems.

Sheryl's pace picked up upon leaving Ample Town. Team Rocket's influence seems to be infecting the island like a disease, making Sheryl's throat tighten up with anxiety. She began sprinting down the paved Route, not paying any attention to the Pokemon she was running past. Everything was a blur but she didn't care. She had her purpose right now and that was getting to Megalos where she would be safe with her loved one. Her Pokemon could rest and so could she. The nightmare could be over, if just for a short moment. Sheryl zipped past the sign indicating the end of Route 8.
