Pokémon BreedingPokémon breeding is a method of making a new Pokémon by producing and hatching an egg. In the anime it also refers to Pokémon grooming and caretaking. How to Breed: In order to breed you must have the trainer type 'Breeder' or know a breeder to help you. Then, you'll need to create a thread with a (B) after the title (so the moderators know what you're up to.) Once the thread is made you'll need to give 1-2 of your Pokémon to a Breeder. If you give him/her only one they'll need to find another. It takes two to tango. Breeding Conditions: For two Pokémon to breed they must be compatible. To be compatible means the Pokemon are of the same species, or share at least one Egg Group, and are of opposite genders; Alternatively, breeding is usually still possible as long as one of them is Ditto. Hatching Eggs: After the egg is made, you can hatch it by having a numerous posts with the egg. The minimum is 15, but this will be decided upon by the Pokemon in the egg. Things to take into consideration are size, weight, and rarity. *Note(s): Legendary Pokémon, baby Pokémon, Unown, Nidorina and Nidoqueen cannot breed whatsoever. Pokémon with gender unknown (besides the aforementioned Legendaries) can only breed with Ditto.
