Personality:
Kitsumaru is a diverse person with many random interests and hobbies. His interests and hobbies include; video games, reading, anime, manga, Pokemon, surfing the web, typing things, music, etc. He isn't real sure about everything though, and has a large influence from other people which shapes who he is now, as opposed to who he used to be, as a child that is. He is independent of the commands of others and only does what others say if he believes that he may do it out of an act of kindness, but if the person who he could do it for is mean, crude, and not deserving of his kindness, he does not show it.

He is an overall good-hearted person. He is very kind and always acts in such a way to most others, but not usually to people who come off as "bad, rude, or obnoxious". He is very generous and giving and if something is up to him he usually tries to do it in the best interests of others. He never tries to hurt the feelings of others which leads him to not always being honest, afraid of what the outcome might be. Although he tries to tell the truth to set someone straight, he can never come to do it, even if that person is always honest with him and will hurt or has hurt his feelings in the process.

He has somewhat of a low self-esteem but when he is confident he can be somewhat snobby and think of others as inferior, even though it is mostly the other way around. He isn't very confident in his abilities and often panics in hard situations but tries to be mature and hang in there. He can't help but to feel inferior though. He has no skills that matter, no knowledge of use, and nothing worth anyone's time. Or at least this is what he thinks himself. He often doubts or contradicts himself when in reality he could really do something without fail. He isn't one to brag and when he does on accident it makes him feel somewhat bad no matter how true it may be.

Kitsumaru can be rather out of it. He zones out quite a lot and sometimes, when he is bored, finds himself dozing off. He stares off into space a lot and doesn't really find everything interesting, until he can find something that really catches his interest. This somewhat adds to how he is laid back and such. He can be somewhat dopey and a bit clumsy but usually tries to hold himself together, and tries to hold his attention, often thinking to himself, 'Focus!'.

Kitsumaru can easily be angered in some cases. He has several things that make him turn away from others which can be listed somewhat briefly. He hates people who are egotistical and think they can do anything they want, and think that they're the best at anything or everything that they do. He hates those who only think of themselves or act as if they're the most important person in the world. He hates people who think they're never wrong, the stubborn ones one might say, and he really tries to not argue with them just to save time.

Appearance:

Kitsumaru is a somewhat tall, thin teenager. He is rather light and can fit between rather thin spaces due to his somewhat frail stature. He isn't the most impressive looking person and almost looks like someone who could be rather clumsy, even though sometimes he really is. He has a thin, angular face with bright blue eyes, that are surrounded by long black eye lashes. He has dark brown (now blue) hair that curls outward and upward in most cases with bangs that almost cover his bushy eye brows. He has somewhat of a small nose, but some say that he just has a big head, making him feel somewhat uncomfortable. He has a long torso, which is rather noticeable, and somewhat long arms.

He likes wearing sweatshirts and or tee shirts, whatever he can dig out of his closet. Almost all of his clothing is blue, but this is slowly changing to a larger variety of colors. He almost always wears jeans, held up by a black leather belt that holds his pokeballs. He wears black tennis shoes, laced with white laces, and with a white bottom. He has a silver ring which he rarely and almost never wears anymore. He often wears his silver and black poketch which holds many useful functions that have aided him well since he's had it. He also has a Pokegear but keeps it stowed away in his pocket, much like a cell phone. Slung to his side by one of two straps is his blue and black backpack that he carries with him everywhere.

History:
Kitsumaru was born in Kanto. More specifically, Pallet Town. He grew up alongside Pokemon, as well as his older and younger brother. He and his family had always lived around Pokemon and ever since he could walk he was exploring this vast world of Pokemon. He was never very impressive at battling but he loved the pokemon, and considered them all his friends. His very best of friends.

As he grew up, Kitsumaru always had many rivals, as well as goals. One of his main rivals were his older brother and a few of his old friends. Pretty much all his goals were accomplished due to rivalries and competitions, which for the most part motivated him greatly. He learned about Pokemon from his parents. His mother being a coordinator and his father a respected trainer.

For five years, Kitsumaru had been working on his journey after attending a trainer school over near the Johto Region. He learned about Pokemon there, as well as how to battle. He also learned how to care for them, and how to breed them and other things like that. He also learned about type advantages and special abilities that each pokemon held.

When he started his journey, he was given a Pokedex and Pokeballs from Professor Oak, as well as his starter Pokemon, which was a Squirtle. He was to catch and train pokemon, and record data using his pokedex, which he did, as well as his brother.

After winning in various leagues including Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto, he has caught a large variety of pokemon. He keeps most of them in his box. He decided to become a gym leader when he learned about Iona and was suggested to become a leader by Professor Elm.

Kitsumaru now questions whether or not he wants to continue being a gym leader or not with the entire land of Iona, right there for him to explore. He wanted to explore it just a bit and maybe even challenge a gym or two. He even thought of participating in the Pokemon League but felt as if his opponents would be at a disadvantage since he already went through four leagues successfully. He was soon confronted with a choice. He had a girl named Azami take over at the gym while he would see what Iona had in store for him.

»Personality:
Kitsumaru is a quiet, well-mannered trained who does his best to stay out of trouble. More often than not, Kitsumaru can be found playing video games or surfing the web when not taking care of his gym leader duties. This, recently, hasn't been the case as he has begun to travel Iona, leaving the gym entrusted to Ms. Sato. Kitsumaru is rather trusting and due to his quiet and relaxed nature, he is often taken advantage of by his peers.

Kitsumaru, being the middle child, looks to his eldest brother for an example, and in turn tries to set a good example for his younger brother. His eldest brother, being the Iona Champ, tends to show Kitsumaru up quite often. Kitsumaru doesn't let this discourage him, as he possesses a positive attitude and an impulse that immediately tells him that it's just because he's older. Or something along those lines...

Kitsumaru is friendly and helpful, but rather timid and shy. He is rather awkward and finds it hard to communicate his feelings effectively, so he tends to avoid any situations that might make him look like stupid, crude, rude, mean, or negative in any way. This also tends to backfire on him, making him look flighty and spastic.

»Appearance:
Kitsumaru often shows no sense of care in his expressions at first glance. Once he shows concern though there is no doubt in his facial expressions and mannerisms. His pale face seems even paler in tough, unexpected surprises, and redder in embarrassment or anger. His eyes are a pale blue, but grow fierce with anger or pallid with sadness. His short brown hair lies atop his head with bangs extending to his eyebrows. His face is angular with a pointed chin and rounded nose.

His attire is rather regular, and is nothing out of the ordinary. He mostly wears a t-shirt and jeans, although it's not always the same. Sometimes, mostly in winter, he'll wear a sweatshirt and a jacket outdoors, sometimes (rarely) with a warm, furry hat. His contest attire consists of some black pants, black shiny shoes, and a maroon button-up shirt. He wears a Pokegear watch, a Poketch, and a C-Gear, although he really only uses the C-Gear nowadays. He also has a VS Seeker and PokeNav on the strap of his blue backpack. On his belt are six Pokeballs, one for each Pokemon in his party.

Kitsumaru was born and raised in the Kanto Region. Growing up in Pallet Town, it was only a matter of time until he would receive his first Pokemon from Prof. Oak. He chose Squirtle since his older brother had begun with Charmander, and he knew his youngest brother would want a Bulbasaur one day. Upon leaving Pallet, he was joined by a traveling companion named Kimi. She was a bubbly girl who had begun her journey with an Eevee who would later become a Glaceon.

Debut
After taking part in the Indigo League, he went to the Johto Region where he was given a Totodile by Professor Elm. Along the way he came across Kimi many times and a new trainer who went by the name "Yuri". Both were capable rivals, but after Kitsumaru challenged the Elite Four he was ready for other places. He later travelled through Hoenn and Sinnoh where both Kimi and Yuri followed (for all he really knew they could still have been in Hoenn since he hadn't stayed in touch). After gathering many badges and participating in many leagues, he retired to Iona where he became a Gym Leader, although he shortly retired that as well and began traveling again.

After having seen what there was to see from Iona, Kitsumaru found himself in a rather bad situation. This situation concerned the Rockets. They had begun taking over Iona but to his delight there seemed to be trainers taking action. After a few breakdowns, Kitsumaru returned to Boron, only to be thrown back into a state of anger and sorrow due to the Rocket's broadcast.

»Personality:
Kitsumaru is a quiet and passive individual. Rarely does he show aggression towards others. His demeanor is rather laid back, though friendly; helping others when he finds the time. He often gets social anxiety, though his duties as champion often force him to ignore it the best he can, often leading him to hiding from other people when he finds it overwhelming. He enjoys the company of others, though with the pressure of having to uphold his reputation as champion he finds himself overwhelmed often, seeking comfort with those he is familiar with (i.e. Kimi Midori, Audrey Pnevma, etc) where his eccentricities are welcomed and encouraged. 

Kitsumaru has known to be both ambitious and lazy, having streaks of hard work and determination followed by streaks of procrastination and isolation. He often forces himself to get things done when in need of a distraction from any overwhelming emotions, making him withdrawn in those moments. Regardless of how he is feeling, he always makes it a point to help those in need, especially if those in need are his loved ones.

»Appearance:
Kitsumaru is a fair-skinned male with gleaming blue-grey eyes that brighten with the sun. After the attack of Team Rocket, he has often been seen with dark shadows cast beneath his eyes. He has messy brown hair than hangs down in front of his face, covering his forehead and hiding his ears. His face is somewhat narrow and angular, as is the rest of his body. His default expression is rather somber but instantly changes when confronted by people; usually changing from a slight frown to an obligatory smile. He is fairly thin and lanky and often stands with poor posture unless he feels especially confident or has to stand in front of an audience. 

Kitsumaru's attire varies depending on his environment but nowadays he is most often seen in a navy suit, detailed with plaid at the collar of the jacket, reminiscent of a school uniform outfitted with a red tie. He often wears this for special events and League matches, though when pressed for time or when travelling, he wears dark navy jeans with mid-top sneakers and a tight, black, collared jacket with a bright red shirt beneath it. He often wears a C-Gear and carries a PokeNav to keep track of his various appointments. He always wears a belt to hold his Pokeballs, though he occasionally stows his Pokeballs in his jacket.

Rockets Rampage and Aftermath
After the broadcast of the Rocket's, chaos ensued. Heatran was awaken and the entire island was thrown into disarray. Alongside his fellow gym leaders and the famous Elite 4, Team Rocket was taken care of but the death toll was much higher than expected. Among those lost included both gym leaders and, worst of all, his own brother Rath. It was because of these losses and his participation in the fight against Rockets that Kitsumaru was requested to take up his brother's title as Champion. Though he was reluctant while consdering this request, he ultimately took it so that he could do everything in his power to help Iona recover from the impact of the Rockets.

In an attempt to help stabilize the island, Kitsumaru formed Team DRIL with some outside help. After a few meetings in Alola, Kitsumaru was prepared to begin his counterattack.

Appearance

x--Face
Kitsumaru has a fair, pale face with vibrant blue eyes. Shadows have developed under his eyes from stress and sleep-free nights. His face gives insight to trauma but his eyes are stain-glass windows to his true intentions. Rarely can Kitsumaru get away with lying as his mouth and eyes immediately reflect his feelings. His unruly brown hair lies as messily as ever atop his head.

x--Body
Kitsumaru has a small frame covered in light, smooth skin. His posture has improved since his childhood; now being a requirement for his new public image as Champion. His body is lithe, and he moves very smoothly and quietly, as though he were a ghost.

x--Attire
Kitsumaru has updated his wardrobe to include slightly more formal clothing. Most of his shirts are collared with many zippers and pockets artistically placed for the sake of fashion. He carries a black, leather messenger bag around with him in which he keeps various items while he travels. He also keeps his Key Stone in the center of the face of an old mechanical watch with a wooden border.

Personality
x--Empathetic
Kitsumaru is an empath. The pain of others is his own pain. He strives to make the lives  of others easier, even if at the cost of his own sanity. He lives to serve others and will, against all odds, fight for others. His kind, compassionate soul is often taken for granted and used against him. He firmly believes that anyone can change. Even the worst of people.

x--Guardian
Kitsumaru sees himself as a guardian of justice and a guardian of the people. He is very in-tune with nature and works to preserve it and its inhabitants. He grows protective of those he cares for and will do anything for his friends. His loyalty knows no bounds. 

x--Nostalgiac 
Kitsumaru lives for the past. He cherishes the good moments that once were. Back when everyone he loved was alive and those he cherished were still close. Before things were complicated. This leads to him seeming spacey, always longing for those simpler times. He often wishes he could escape to a reality where the past and present were one and the same.

x--Anxious
Kitsumaru is, by nature, an anxious being. He looks before he leaps except under the most heinous of circumstances. His anxiety is his largest flaw and, if unchecked, can be absolutely debilitating. His anxiety has grown and his social anxiety has been further exacerbated through the constant badgering from the public eye upon taking up the title of League Champion.
