Akika frowned as the place got more and more crowded. Her grip was placed on Alix’s pants, and with a curious glance to everyone, she recognized Serenity. For a moment the girl’s eyes seemed to spark at the older female’s beauty. Letting go of Alix, she moved her hands a bit to fix her own hair, trying to mimic what Serenity looked like. Sparkle tilted his head in question at the little girl’s actions, totally confused, as Momo smiled and patted her thick tail to the ground, understanding the child. She too found this blonde trainer quite pretty. When Alix began to talk to someone else, though, the girl blinked a few times and turned to the man curiously. She had… Never seen him before, at least in her memory. A stranger. A frown took place on the little girl’s face again, and she hid her face into Alix’s pants slightly, pressing against her shyly. Sparkle grinned and approached the man with no troubles, as Momo stayed back for now. ”Pichu!” Sparkle grinned. He jumped up and down excitedly at a thought of making a new friend.

The intercom sounded and one of the judges said, "Alright. The contest will now begin. All contestants should report to the main stage. While we wait, the rules will be explained." After the announcement the monitors turned on and showed the judges. The gym leader of Border Town stood up and said, "I, the leader of this town, shall explain how this'll work! M'kay here goes. This is just like any other contest. There'll be a preliminary appeal round where you'll use two pokemon to make an amazing appeal! Then, the judges will decide who moves on and who doesn't. The last few contestants will then have appeal battles which will be decided by who dazzles us with their skills. So let us begin! The order will be...a Mr. Oozora, then Mr. Tray, Ms. Alix, Ms. Aki Hoshi, Ms. Akika, and Ms. Serenity!"

There he sat, his eyes still gazing through the confines of paper and ink, scanning over the adequate stock, and abundant merchandise. He wanted to talk, yet he didn’t. His mind wanted the sustenance of socializing, yet his body lay still, unruffled and solely displaced in the padded seat. He knew only a few that occupied the space. However those few were the only people who captured the interest of the Silver-haired Protagonist. He wouldn’t place himself in a situation that would leave him alone, no, not again. Nonetheless, the yearning for conversing ate away at the young man’s resolve.
Time leisurely faded away, and the quiet, ticking of the circular clock that rested high on the wall continued to rotate. With such a spatial opening that compiled the lobby of the Contest Hall, and the ample amount of noise radiating from each corner, you’d assume that such an inconsequential, frail sound such as the ticking of a clock wouldn’t be perceptible. However when one was alone, something as simple as a flower in a garden peaked intrigue. Oozora shifted to his right, looking up at the black encrusted emblem of time, his eyes swaying with the Second-handle as it continued to creep away in motion.
He sat there for a few moments until a frizzed diffusion signaled, which eventually flashed, generating a colored picture on the grand plasma-screen that was mounted on the wall. The sound broke the composed abstraction that Oozora willingly placed himself in as he turned towards the screen, and read the dialogue as a smile moved across his flawless face.
The order will be...a Mr. Oozora
Nothing more had to be said, and as a result, Oozora didn’t make an effort to decipher the rest of the memorandum. He saw his name, and more unpredictably he was first. So held be the opening, held set the tone of the entire Appeal round? Wouldn’t such information put one who articulated Pokémon in an entirely different medium at a sudden uneasiness; drain one’s buoyancy so to say? Oozora however didn’t fall into such a category. A true artist didn’t limit himself to a single art form. No, one who expressed both skill and originality were diverse, and stretched their talents to other forms, giving a piece of themselves to something that once lacked it. Oozora was indeed an Artist.
Getting up from his seat, Oozora would flash the horde of four one final gaze, which expressed nothing more than an impassive gape as he soon set focus on the entrance door. Moving towards the door Oozora would push open the oak and metal obstructions as he vanished into the second room, the doors flopping behind as he entered. Stepping through the dark corridor which guided the young trainer to a passionate bright light, he’d reach onto his belt hoister, and two spheres, one a splendid gold, and the other, a luminous red. Placing one in each hand, he continued forward, his eyes set to the light that would soon lead him one step closer to greatness.
“Now please, help me to introduce, Oozora!”
The zealous Announcer pronounced as the multitude leaped from their seats, and collectively cheered in sync, generating a vibrating grumble of awe and excitement as the Silver-haired Artist stepped gradually onto the stage. Moving across the Sand-hued flooring, he pierced out into the audience, unable to illustrate the numerous faces due to the frontal facing lights that hung from the ceiling. Standing in the center, he sighed, and soon enough, Oozora gently lifted his arms, and with the flick of his wrists, released the two pokéballs into the air, the small spheres soon expanding as they snapped opened, both triggering a sealed release.
“Let’s begin, Maxy, Horizon!”
He announced with the ut-most assurance in his approach as the pokéballs revealed a grandiose white hue of bliss and sheer serenity as they swiveled through the air. On the right, the Ultraball that contained the almighty Fire Pokémon jingled with an icy similitude as snow and mist leaked from the golden orb. The flaked ice danced around the blazing Typhlosion as his increasingly progressive flames expanded, following a tyrant growl as he stood on his feet with pride. On the left, A spiral of flaring heat pulsated from the pokéball as a shadow was visible from within, and soon enough, two illusions of clouds burst outwards, dispersing the flames as the majestic Azure Dragon swayed through the open space, encircling the arena on her back, while Maxy controlled the ground.
Complimentary negatives; The simple incongruity of elements, that handled in such a manner added to the bravura appeal of an entrance. Combining the searing flames of Typhlosion’s back, evaporating the ices, generating a thin mist. One opposing element complimenting the other. The art of differentiating between two, and in conclusion, molding one, singular memorable instant. Altaria, a creature usually paired with beauty and grace, emerging from the hellish monarchy of flames. Symbolic of what? An Angel escaping Heaven to ascend to Heaven? A phoenix rising from its ashes? There were a number of emblematic explanations behind such an outcome. However only one thing was certain, Oozora had displayed keen intuition.
“Maxy, use Smokescreen!” Oozora shouted with zealous assurance as the sapphire-furred beast nodded, and soon cocked its neck back. Oozora watched from the distance as Typhlosion moved his head forward as he widened his jaws, releasing an immense miasma of dense smoke, clouding the two from sight, obscuring the discernment indefinitely of those who looked upon from a distance. “ Horizion, collect the fog in a counterclockwise coil with Sky Attack,” He commanded from the ground, as his principled Altaria retrieved the message. Swooping down into the thick veil of black, reaching onto the outskirts of the attack, spinning numerously around the grand stage, elevating slightly with each revolution.
As she moved up higher with each cycle, the haze of darkness gathered together, collecting all traces from the base and spiraling in a cyclone motion with Altaria. She guided the Smokescreen with her Speed-oriented attack, trailing her frame as a replication of a tornado manifested. The first stage was complete, and soon enough, the Silver-haired Charmer would begin the second installation of commands.
“Maxy, use Flare Blitz!”
At the eye of the storm, Typhlosion mediated, waiting for his instructions until unexpectedly, his eyes opened, revealing the teal depiction of his irises. Roaring with ardor, Maxy’s flames intensified, growing greatly in sheer volume, as its body emanated incensed flames, enveloping its being, as it shot upwards. From the outside, the Audience, as well as those who watched from the Television would notices openings of light manifesting from the Tornado, and soon ruptures of flames sprouted, and from the ceiling opening, a burst of fire impacted the rooftop, spreading across the fireproof upper limits of the room. Oozora had done what he anticipated to happen. The smoke, the fire, the mass of accumulative smolder that emitted from the crown, the tinit of orange and red merging from the outskirts. Oozora had lucratively mimicked the natural disaster of a Volcanic Eruption; however giving it a more appealing twist.
Now, for the finishing touch, “Horizon, use Mist, then Sing!” with the final chain of commands, as Horizon emerged promptly from the far left side of the twister, as she begun to encircle the striking spiral of smoke and flames from the exterior. As she graced the opening with her presence, a blanket of skeletal, white ice leaked from her flapping wings, draping down the massive volcanic similarity. Once again, another conflicting brilliance, combining fire with ice as the veil of frost rained from the sky, shrouding the dark smoke, with a more eye-catching white, which would soon be caught in the gradually decreasing spiral. As the Altaria did so, a rather harmonious bustled hum complimented the scenery backdrop created by Oozora as Maxy, with a paced stroll, walked out from the smoke, standing by his Trainer as Horizion took to his other side.
With a bow, Oozora looked out into the opening as he revealed a charismatic smile, for he stood in front of his artistic visualization, snow following from the sky as the massive whirlwind of fire gradually dispersed, scattering across the field until finally, it vanished. After a moment, a gradual uproar generated as an immense applaud radiated from the audience as they watched in admiration; truly start struck by a boy’s dream manifested in reality. Waving out, Oozora walked off stage, his Pokémon following as he entered back into the entrance hall, Maxy following while Altaira dwelled in front.
“You guys did well.”
Oozora complimented as he patted Maxy on his soft head, a gradually purr escaping his mouth. His other hand running across the smooth surface of Horizon as she hummed in contentment. As they three stood by the lounging area, something rather familiar captured Oozora’s eyes as he continued to pat his Pokémon instinctively as he Exclaimed softly.
“Hi, Serenity.”

The ambrosial young blonde bore a small smile as the tone of the divinely sculpted woman amused him. Her voice, laced with enough cynicism and contempt to over flood Apalos Lake, only served to engross his antics even further. This woman truly was a character. At all times she managed to put a smile on the young man’s face, whether he intended to or not. The already amiable male’s charm constantly increases tenfold when around such a woman. Is it any wonder she commands his attention? Especially since her reactions were always comical and witty. Alix Taylor, truly she was a unique individual. Who else would he bestow such a splendour as his Squirtle upon? Who else would be able to control his buoyant heart and raise him to be the powerhouse whom he was bred to become? None other than the elegant Mrs. Waters.“I’m doing wonderfully we—“ Cutting himself off at the sight of the fearful toddler, his attention shifted. Why was the youngster frowning at him? Had he… done something to harm her? Hmm… that’s not possible. He had only harmed a small handful of people since he last met the group; she was certainly not one of them. As Tray contemplated whether or not she should attempt to comfort the young girl who’d dug her face into Alix’s pant leg, he was instead greeted by the rugrat’s partner. A small Pichu strolled up to him without any trouble. She greeted him excitedly before jumping up and down. The elegantly dressed blonde couldn’t help but giggle. Yes. That’s right. Tray giggled.“You have a very vibrant associ—“ A sigh escaped his lips as the Executive had been cut off once again. This time, it was the PA system that had been the culprit. After announcing the start of the contest, a massive flat screen equipped into the wall flickered on. Tomoyo Saigo, she was the woman on that appeared on the screen. Tray knew her very briefly. He had battled her gym and defeated her a few short months ago. It was also when his M.I.A. Charizard / Dragonair had evolved. It was quite the pleasing experience. The simple sight of her face brought back a good memory as he recalled their breath-taking battle.
The woman announced the line-up for the contest. It seemed that a Mr. Hoshikedo would be up first. Another familiar face, this contest was sure to be entertaining. Glancing back, Tray peeped his most formidable rival, Lil’ Ooz. The younger male took a moment before he rose out of his seat. As he made his way to the entrance door, he gave the group an unfeeling and uninterested, passing glance. Well now, that was quite cold of him. Was he alright? Tray immediately suspected something to be up with the usually enthusiastic and uplifting Oozora. Oh well, nonetheless, Lil’ Ooz had an appeal to do and it was guaranteed to be spectacular.“Now please, help me to introduce, Oozora!” A wholehearted smile commandeered his facial features as the ardent announcer introduced the albino male with a somehow, slightly pigmented skin tone. The young Tray Waters was quite excited to see his rival’s appeal more than anyone else’s. Oozora had become something of a gauge for the current ‘Rocketeer’ to measure his own success rate. Should the silver-haired male so much as equal the blonde’s prowess in anyway, then Tray would feel as though he’d been slacking in his training and thus push himself further and onto greatness. This was the best way for him to grow and eventually crush that one particular individual. Oozora played his part well and constantly kept Tray pushing himself. However, the two had been separated for quite some time. This bore the question, who has kept up with their progress, and who has been slacking?
Analyzing and surveying Oozora’s appeal, he noted the use of a new Pokémon. So the albino-haired male was in possession of a new and powerful Typhlosion. This was quite the surprise. No matter, he had his own new additions, several in fact. Nevertheless, this was a new opponent Tray was sure to face sooner or later. Especially once his relations with a sinister party would become apparent. Worse yet, his Executive standing within said union. He’d have to make note of this masterful beast’s move set A.S.A.P.
Move #1, Smokescreen – Easily combatable. Move #2, Flare Blitz – That one will be a b__ch in battle.
After the arduous, yet alluring mimicking of an erupting volcano had been created, Tray was left slightly peeved. Only two attacks were shown by the fiery demon. Humph. That wasn’t very helpful. Regardless, this now meant that it was his turn to present his own display of destruction and elegance in a harmonious scheme to compliment his oddly cold-shouldered friend. Soon enough, the three on stage made their way to the backrooms. With that, Tray’s attention returned to the group.“Well, I guess it’s my turn.” A light, blithe chuckle resounded from his vocals.“Wish me luck.” He laughed before heading to the same, massive oak/metal doors that housed the change rooms and lounging area for the contestants. It was time to command the stage.
Flashing the group a final, charming smile, he turned and swaggered off. Stepping through the doors to the lounge, he made his way past the small amount of trainers there. All cheering him luck; he eventually came to pass his friend as well. Looking a bit, down on his luck, he’d make it a point to return and converse with him. As for now, he simply gave him “one final gaze, which expressed nothing more than an impassive gape as he soon set focus on the stage entrance”.“Next up, is a renowned trainer whom has demonstrated time and time again why he deserves our utmost attention.” With a sigh, he stepped into the spotlight. Tray was immediately greeted with roars and cheers from countless people whom he knew not, though all seemed to know of his crowning achievements. They gripped him in the jocund gaieties.“Ladies and gentlemen, the captivating Tray Waters!” The moment his name was uttered, the crowd exploded in hoots and hollers. Within the confines of his abstract and labyrinthine mind, his own peculiar imagination and self-adoration displayed images of panties raining from the sky as he was bathed in written down phone numbers of the cornucopia of women whom yearned for him. This presentation that was hidden within the barracks of his cognizance allowed him to step out onto the stage, walking tall and with a seductive smile plastered upon his face.
The room fell silent as the floor sparked. Light shone from the ground in a substantially sized rectangle, with a horizontal line in the center, though technically vertical for the audience. The two halves of the rectangle soon parted and were tucked away as a pool seemed to rise up from the basement. The pool was blessed with three platforms. All aimed vertically from the user, spaced accordingly to reach the farthest side of the pool. The stage was set and ready for him to command.
Resisting the urge to sigh, he demanded self-assurance as he dug into the innards of his silk, white jacket. Two miniature, red/white globules were retrieved. Gracefully pressing the center buttons on each with a single hand, the spheres were tossed up in the same swift movement. In mid air, they expanded and soon after, they exploded with life.
A brilliant luminescence shimmered and shined throughout the entire stadium. From the left ball, razor sharp leaves swirled around a glowing green silhouette. A moment later, the leaves had dispersed and shattered into nothingness, revealing a well groomed and verdant Grovyle. The right Pokéball erupted in a radiant display of flickering water droplets as a creature was seen encased in stone. A hole could be seen, showing the way into a pit of darkness that was only interrupted by two amethyst eyes. The stage was set, and the combatants were here.
From within its stone cage, the beast manifested a shine of bright amaranthine light to permeate from the rock encasing. Seconds later, the entire casing shattered and dust particles danced in the air as a vibrant Kabutops lunged towards the Grovyle, right hand-scythe still glowing bright with the sinister mauve shine. Flipping backwards, the agile wood gecko evaded the attack. He continued a series of back flips until it stood at the farthest platform in the pool. Scoffing at his opponent/companion Kabutops proudly sauntered his way to the platform closest to Tray.
The two now stood at opposite ends, both with a sadistic gleam in their eyes. Each stood in their attack stance and ready for combat. A smirk simultaneously etched itself onto both faces as they awaited their master’s commands.“Alright! Kabuto! Use Stone Edge! Grovyle! Leaf Blade, strike em down!” “Kabu!” — He hissed in a low, ferocious tone. “Grove! Grove!” — He bellowed smugly. As the two were given their commands, they leapt into action.A series of incredibly powerful and razor sharp rocks were sent shooting towards the wood gecko. His reply? A glowing, crescent blade streaking from forearm.As the abundant jagged rocks came careening towards him, Grovyle performed a series of epic acrobatics. The grandiose green gecko scathed each and every stone. Not a single rock escaped his acerbic grip. There was nothing but dust and debris left in his wake as he charged forward in an attempt to do Kabutops the very same. However, rather than shredding apart his fellow companion, he was met with rapidly rising tides. Within seconds a massive tsunami was towering above him, his despised adversary Surf atop with. What would he do? How would he escape this? Would he be blasted by the attack, or somehow turn the tables on the ancient creature? For now, a disgusted look concurred and replaced Grovyle’s former sneer. However, that nauseating smirk remained plastered across his revolting features. That damned crustacean.Tray Waters, the orchestrator of the entire theatrical display, looked on as his Grovyle was swept away in the powerful Surf attack. Kabutops had landed in the center platform of the immense pool. The gecko, on the other hand, was lost, submerged deep into the pool. What had happened? Had he survived? Was he knocked out? What happened?!
The room fell silent. All edged off their seats in anticipation. What was to come of our heroic protagonist, the wood gecko? Wait. Weren’t Grass-types resistant to water attacks? Yes. Yes they were.
From beneath the surface of the pool, Puppet A attacked.A Storm of Lea(f)ves spiralled from beneath the ancient crustacean’s platform. The spiralling tornado consisting of abhorrent leaves, whipping waters, and debris left over from the Stone Edge served to create an feral, destructive, and highly awing attack. Puppet B was forcibly raised high into the air. Standing on the platform now, our hero, Grovyle.
The antagonist was raised high into the air, to the point he was able to flip himself upside down and press onto the ceiling, using it as leverage. His sadistic smirk remained forever unchanged. Our hot-blooded protagonist was becoming more and more infuriated with the once deceased relic. The Puppet Master called for one final attack, one last bout within the eye of the chillingly dazzling tornado.“Leaf Blade. Night Slash. Now.” He spoke in an unfeeling tone. His words were ice cold and frozen to the touch. Regardless, the two replied.
With his right arm/scythe enveloped in an ominous violaceous light, Kabutops pushed off with his feet, and leapt from the ceiling downwards. This same motion was performed by our hero on his own platform. The two pietistic beings raced forth, each aiming to cleave open and disembowel the other.
From within the storm, everything was clear. Those watching from the outside in, merely saw to deities trapped within a cocoon of their own manifested valour. The out-of-focus silhouettes encased within the strikingly attractive and extremely dangerous tornado continued their flight paths and seemed to collide.
This collision caused an explosion of hellish flames and smoke to erupt. However, this eruption was contained by the rapidly spinning leaves/water/stones. Instead of spreading outwards and laying waste to the entire stadium, it simply added to the stunning effects created. Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, the four elements had all been combined to create one gorgeous and truly spectacular demonstration of gyrating splendour. The miasma from the explosion also rose up to create a mushroom effect [as is customary for all epic explosions], literally capping off the days achievements.
And as for their finally, two balls were seen blasting out of the top of the shroom, spinning and landing on the two platforms, opposite of their magnificent creation. The two Pokémon landed gracefully and tossed their hands up in victory, when suddenly, they shattered into crystals of red light and were devoured by their Pokéballs.
As the wind continued whip around, it flustered through Tray’s illustrious blonde hair. His silk jacket also being ruffled, the noble and suave Casanova whirled on the ball of his feet and ambled off the stage. Stepping through the stage entrance gates, he made his way back to the contestants’ lounge. He yearned for the warm embrace of a deep slumber.
~~ TW, exit stage left.

Akira finally arrived in Border town via teleportation. Thanks to Kari it looked like he just may make it to the contest hall in time. He slowly walked into the building half expecting to see the room crowded with contest coordinators getting ready for the first round. But to his dismay all he saw was an empty room.
It looked like he was to late to entire the contest. He gave a sigh and heard a roar of applause come from the audience. He shrugged and said quietly to Flyff on his shoulder, "We may of gotten here late, but we still can watch."
He entered the contest hall and saw the first contestant. His name was Mr. Oozora. Well, he would get to see one of his future rivals appeal. After watching Mr. Oozora's performance he gave a small clap. It was a truly good performance. It just made him want to jump down there on take the stage himself. But of course, he couldn't. He was to late.
But then the next contestant came out. Akira's eyes bursted wide open. He knew this contestant. Flyff looked at Akira's face and gave a disgruntled look before looking down at the stage. Her cheeks started to spark with electricity. It was him. It was the cause of all there troubles.
Akira turned from the door and headed for the contestant area were he planned to confront the blonde haired kid known as "Tray Waters"

The overconfident and overly attractive male flashed the usual smile at her. Like he always had. Even when she hoped to almost shoot his ego-balloon down, it only seem to inflate it further. She could only sigh at this, as she never wished to actually hurt him. Perhaps knock his confidence back a bit, but never mean to hurt his feelings. Well, if that was possible. At the sight of his smile, the brunette could only mimic it, despite the actual pain that Tray had put her through by giving her that...special Squirtle.
In response to Akika's shyness and need for comfort, Alix gently patted her on top of her brown head. Now, why was Aki acting up? She didn't seem upset about the contest earlier. Was she just getting pre-performance jitters? Or was the seductive blond intimidating her by dividing Alix's attention? However, Sparkle leaped forth to openly and excitedly great Tray, much similar to how Mikey would have done if he was here. Alix was storing him in her back pack for a reason. When one had an overly demented Squirtle, bad things happened.
Tray, surprising Alix, seemed to look tenderly at Aki. As if he actually cared about the young girl's irrational fears. This was surprising to the older brunette. She always thought of Tray as one of those typical Lady's men. Yet, he was different. He had, out of kindness and sympathy, rewarded her with a new pokemon to her crew (and even though she joked about it, she was forever grateful to him). And now, he showed a new level that Alix had not yet seen. This man was compassionate to young children, often a trait that was overlooked and hidden. Alix couldn't help but smile as a feminine burst of giggles escaped his lips. Was he being cute for Aki? How sweet!
He began to compliment Sparkle adoringly when he was soon interrupted by the PA system that ran through the ceilings. Alix blinked, looking upward to aimlessly search for the speaker that projected the message. Not finding one, she instead listened intently as it blared the commencing message. A screen was soon flicked on, demanding the attention of all the people intending to partake in the beauty event. Blinking up with brown irises, Alix watched intently as yet another gorgeous woman introduced the contest and announced the order of the participants. Alix nodded, noting that she was third, immediately following Tray. She cast him a smile, but he was still absently staring at the screen. Alix blew out a sight. He was probably ogling over that woman.
One man rose. Alix, catching the movement, looked over to the albino boy that had suddenly stood. Putting two and two together, Alix assumed that the highlighter-head was Oozora. She tried to flash him an encouraging smile, but was shut down with a harsh, cold look. Slumping her shoulders, the brunette felt like a duck plummeting from the sky, a bullet to the brain. Meanie!
Regardless, Alix felt the need to sneak off as well. Though she wished to witness the white-haired man's appeal, she had to ready herself for her own performance. And since the buttface was being a buttface with his mean looks, Alix could bypass part of his ordeal. She'd see the tail end of it.
Gently and silently bending down, the brunette patted Akika softly. "Alix is going to go get ready quick, ok?" she whispered, brushing a lock of hair from Akika's face. Standing, Alix smiled warmly at the small girl (also known as her 'sister') before turning to quickly skirt across the floor to the nearest restroom.
As soon as she opened and entered the bathroom, she turned to deadbolt the door and lock it tightly. No need to be intruded on while she changed. Quickly and quietly, Alix tugged her shoulder bag from her upper torso to toss it on the ground. It toppled over, the flap unhinging itself and spilling some of its contents over the tiled and glossy floor. Two pokeballs rolled out to gently tap and click against one another. As if they triggered each other, both orbs exploded open. Maggie and Mikey stood side by side seconds later. Mikey beamed, before scurrying about to see what mayhem he could cause to look for something interesting.
Maggie, prepared for this, aided Alix in picking through the overstuffed ruck sack. Cripes, the brunette needed to learn how to not pack so much junk. Tucking out the small packet of compressed clothing, Maggie smoothed the material and unfolded it, gingerly passing it to Alix. The girl nodded shyly, taking the articles without word.She pranced off into the nearest bathroom stall, regardless if the main door was locked.
Maggie pulled out the next compacted bag, which contained Alix's toiletries. A comb, brush, toothbrush and paste. The whole shebang and more. Maggie carefully picked through the various tools, selecting her weapons of choice. Moments later, the fast-dressing Alix emerged from the stall, sporting her new coordinating outfit. Her last had been shredded for insulation in the mountains.
Alix felt a bit out of her comfort zone. Off with the long-sleeve and sweaters. Off with the jeans. And what was most disturbing... off with the hat. She clutched the black headgear in her hands, hoping that Maggie would reconsider and allow her to decorate her head with the cap.
One look from the pink pup silenced Alix's hopes. The brunette pursed her lip, tossing the black hat with the rest of her temporarily discarded clothes. Creeping up to the mirror, she was soon attacked by a rampaging brush. Maggie surged forth, pulling the teeth of the hair comb though Alix's tangled mass of hair. She let out a pained murmur as Maggie tugged the knots from her brown locks. In a few moments, Alix's lion mane was tamed down to a reasonable level. However, Maggie wasn't quite finished.
Taking two knives from Alix's utensils, Maggie pressed them together and bit down on them, her teeth red and hot. The fire attack rapidly heated the pieces of metal, allowing Maggie to compensate and create a little hair straightener. Working through Alix's think chocolate hair, Maggie fully flattened it down.
To finish up quick, Maggie pulled a long, lavender ribbon from the pile of various objects. Leaping to Alix's left shoulder, Maggie gently tied the lace into Alix's hair. If the brunette couldn't have a hat, she'd have to bear and make do with that. Maggie slid from the girl, backing away to fully inspect her. With an admiring grin, Maggie clapped and began stuffing the bare necessities back into the pastel yellow shoulder bag. Alix soon came to her aid. hen the task was done, she took the two worn orbs, holding them each in one palm. With a low whistle, she summoned the other two, who paused for a moment at Alix's newly designed appearance.
The reaction caused worry to fester within her. Would this really turn out ok? Sighing, she returned Maggie and Mikey to their respectable homes and placed the orb with the heart shaped sticker on it back into her back. The orb with the water sticker remained in her palm, soon to be placed at the girl's belt. She fumbled it for a moment before sliding it onto her side. She stopped for a moment after, staring over into the mirror at herself. Her hair was like Maggie had hoped, pin straight with the ribbon garnishing the left side. She was wearing a white and brown stripped tang top, tying at the shoulders and a simple white and brown skirt that thankfully reached her knees. Well... it wasn't a gown, but it wasn't shorts and a t-shirt either. Alix sighed, continuing to stare aimlessly into her odd-looking reflection.
Matthew wasn't stupid. He was well aware of Alix's increasing fear. In fact, the emotion was obvious. The female wasn't exactly a master at hiding her true feelings. Even around that blond, she was utterl- No, Matt wouldn't go there. Not now. "Chimchar?" he asked tentatively, inquiring whether the girl would be alright or not. She nodded, though her eyes were still the size of plates.
Snatching her bag, Alix picked up Matthew and quietly unlocked the door. Like a sneaky ninja, she slipped to the corner in her attempts to be inconspicuous. Silently setting down her back underneath a planted chair, she placed her sweater and hat on the back of the stool. Hopefully no one would touch her things. Soon sitting, she fidgeted and watched the distant screen from her secluded little spot. Wow. This Oozora guy was good. Really good. She grimaced at the fact that he was using fire and ice. Really? Really?! Pinching her mouth into a tight and upset line, she withheld comment. If only she'd gone first...
Oozora exited quickly, the roar of the crowd following him. Yeah, he was passing onto the next round for sure. That appeal was astounding. Fricker, she was done for. Why should she even try if this was her competition? That buttface was good, and looked as if nothing got the better of him. Shit Poop!
Tray stood immediately after, seeming unruffled by the performance prior to his own. With a laugh, he left for the stage as nonchalantly as ever. Cripes, Alix needed to steal some of that self assurance. Seriously, that blond was a walking mass of ego.
Alix stared at the far off screen, secretly watching but not wishing to join the group. It was bad enough... she was in a skirt! A flippin' skirt! Sure, the idea sounded manageable an hour ago, but not now. People would laugh at her in her attire!
Matthew poked Alix's cheek, a blank look stretched on his face. Alix nodded, taking two big breaths. Gazing up, she watched the admirable blond strut onto the stage to commence his performance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear lord. Did everyone who came here have to be this good? Tray, unlike most coordinators, took it upon himself to be unique. Different. Amazing. He had his pokemon duke it out in a battle of strength and determination, truly pleasing the crowd to put on a spectacular show. Swallowing the lump in her throat, Alix agreed that Tray had been able to match Oozora's spectacle. The real question was, would she be able to do so to Tray's?
Inhaling and exhaling slowly, Alix's waited until her name was called by the PA announcer, as well as the woman holding the contest. Rising from her hiding place, she placed the most solid and blank look on her face as she could. Walking forward at first, the girl soon broke into a quick jog, skirting by the group (hopefully quick enough that she wouldn't be recognized). Slipping through the heavy metal doors, Alix pressed them closed, taking another calming, collecting breath. Tugging the knee-length skirt down slightly, she straightened herself, slapped her cheeks and whirled around. Let's do this! She screamed in her head, pumping herself up with excitement to hopefully drown out the worry.
Passing through the lounge, Alix quickly saw Tray lounging on a large leather sofa. Tilting her head so a curtain of hair spilled over her shoulder and covered her face, she quickened her stride. Don't. Get. Nervous. She commanded herself as she continued forth. She went through one more set of doors, before seeing the light from the stadium creep near her feet. In just a few steps, she'd become visible to all.
"Ready to kick some butt?" Alix said boldly and shakily, indicating that she hadn't eradicated the negative feelings from her chest.
"Chiiim char!" Matthew replied, pumping his fist into the air. Encouraged, Alix walked forth into the bath of bright light.
"...now, put your hands together for Alix Taylor!"
Alix was met by a wall of claps, cheers and whistles. Reddening in the cheeks slightly from this, she raised her right hands to wave back in a meek reply. Matthew stood on his feet, walloping loudly to edge the crowd on.
After the brief introduction, Alix planted a grin on her face, not exposing teeth but smiling nevertheless. The crowd quieted, eager to see if this girl could match the two previous males that put on their own stunning show. Alix paused, sweeping her gaze across the crowd as the corners of her mouth continued to tug upwards. Allowing her hand to fall to her side, she retrieved the familiar crimson and pearl orb. Coolly expanding it, Alix proceeded to toss it up lightly, but hardly worthy of a throw. It rose only a mere two feet above her head before reaching its peak. Though, Alix and Matthew planned this. The fire monkey exploded upwards with force. Snatching the ball in midair, he somersaulted before hurling it downward. Light shattered from the crimson/white, sticker decorated orb as it shuttered and snapped open with life. A brilliant flash emerged, however (unlike the previous competitors, Alix did not possess seals) that was all. Though, Mikey was not one to enter in a boring fashion.
The light took shape, a familiar reptile landing smoothly on three points; his two feet and one hand. He was decked out as well as the others. He himself sported his usual attire that had come to be regular for Alix. With his 'ninja' gear (including the various bands, S-belt and head band) equipped, the ninja landed coolly, flashing a naïve yet confident grin. Matthew, whom had whipped the pokeball downward, landed on Mikey's shell with two limbs only, both feet. Being of a monkey origin, the chimp was able to grip the edges of Mikey's shell without difficulty. Both pokemon cast forth (a) wave(s), edging the crowd to excitement once more. They were guaranteeing that this show would not disappoint.
Flashing a gaze around, Alix smiled. She was relieved at the fact that the crowd was indeed encouraging. Hopefully this act would be easier than it needed to be. At least, this time. Feeling the exhilaration from the last contest that the brunette had one, Alix began her concert.
"Alright! Matthew, dig. Mikey, use Rapid Spin!"
Matthew instantly obeyed with a chimp like call, diving off of Mikey's front end as if the shell was a diving board. As soon as his fingertips brushed the ground, he was gone, enveloped in a newly dug hole. Mikey, uttering his name in his exuberant joy, leaped up to retract each and every one of his limbs. Left with only his burnt orange shell, the reptile proceeded to spin. And Mikey, known for his recklessness and stunts, collectively rotated faster than any other pokemon would dare.
The tiny turtle whirled around so quick, that he was able to hover for a few seconds, just over the newly dug pit. Though, it was slightly noticeable that gravity was tugging him down as he gradually lost altitude, threatening to plunge into the abyss where the fire monkey disappeared to.
"Flamethrower!"
Instantaneously, a hot burst of powerful flames erupted upwards, exploding out the opening in a tremendous fury. Small torrents of wind thrashed about, ruffling the brunette's attire and tidied hair. The amber hue basked her face in an orange tinge, sparks of utter joy flashing in her eyes. No light was needed for this performance. In fact, they had a cue later on for the lack of light, but not quite yet.
The pillar of flames rocketed Mikey up and out of any threat of tumbling into that small crevasse in the Earth. Now high in the air and still rising by the force of the flame, he protected himself by spinning quickly within the safety of his tough shell. And the rapid spinning motion had a wondrous effect on the ferocity of the fire. By have a 'propeller' chop and contain the dangerous blast, it caused the column of flames to turn in a swirled fashion. Not one of a tornado, but more like one of a deliciously made soft ice cream cone freshly composed by an ice cream man.
The spectacle alone was a pretty brilliant site. Probably enough to impress the judges. Would she get to the next round with it? Hardly. And that's why she was no where near done.
"Mikey, bubble and then ice beam!"
While still aboard the tower of flames in the spinning spot, Mikey spurted a foamy spray of unlimited bubbles. Happy, carefree, harmless, little bubbles! The heat evaporated few, but mainly the blasts of hot air scattered the shiny globes everywhere, polluting the air with their innocence and simplicity. Just as the fire tower ceased to exist because its 'fuel source' cut itself off, Mikey spun out of his spin, poking all fours limbs, his tail and his head from the sanctuary of his shell. No longer threatened to be engulfed by fire, Mikey clapped his hands together, waggling his squirrel-like tail before beginning to sail back down. This would not do though. Beginning to spin again, Mikey opened his mandibles and released the pent-up power of ice. Rays of sub-zero energy lashed about like whips. Thrashing like a dangerous power, the beams brushed over the countless masses of scattered bubbles, freezing them on contact to form beautiful crystallized orbs. Few bubbles escaped that fate, floating about lazily in the air.
Mikey shot back down to the ground, falling in an unexpected and unplanned manner. His shell down, stomach up. Frick! He was going to smack down on the ground and ruin the beauty of the falling orbs of glass.
"Let's go Matthew, grass knot!"
With emerald green eyes, the fire monkey surged upward to meet the water turtle. Now, what would grass knot achieve? True, the two had demonstrated their creativity and uniqueness with the attack in the last contest, but how would that apply now?
Grass crept up, bending and obeying the monkey's will. Knotting and growing upwards, the blades of malleable grass grew in spiral forms, much similar to the way that Matthew's Flamethrower had been carved by Mikey's Rapid Spin. The trick? The countless glassy balls that plummeted to the Earth would not shatter like expected. Instead, these coiled pieces of grass would cushion the orbs in a sense similar to a spring, reducing the force of the impact down as if to land on a soft pillow. With the crystal balls saved, they littered the green ocean of grass, looking like baseball-sized blue dots.
Matthew, now mere feet from colliding with Mikey, had his peach hands outstretched to grab the turtle. Seeing this, Mikey flipped last second to clasp hands, mid-air with the monkey. For a split second, the two mirrored each others' joyous grins. Then time resumed, Mikey flinging Matthew as hard as his limbs would allow, as if he was transferring the kinetic energy of the fall to Matthew's rise. The two parted, Matthew soaring upwards like a bird and Mikey returning back to solid ground.
Now would be the real show. Alix raised her hand, signaling the electronic man in the booth to kill the lights. A second later the playing field went pitch dark, and the flying chimp was lost within the belly of blackness (aside from his candle like tail, which continued to flick upwards). Three, two, one…
"Flame Wheel, full strength!"
With his monkey shriek, Matthew exploded into a tumbling inferno. Hot air returned to the stadium, once again gently blasting the crowd with warm bursts of air. This time however, the true monkey would be shown. Swiveling round and round and round, Matthew remained in the same air space, only continuing to spin like a top. Light lit up the area, devouring the dark to bask the stadium in orange, yellow and red. Now for the show.
Each orb on the ground was still in existence, gently hovering of the coiled bases of grass like little crystal, medieval goblets. With the only light source being Matthew and his sun-like state, the ice crystals refracted the tiny rays of light, scattering them within the unevenly frozen surface. The result was a globe lit like a light bulb. Countless light bulbs that littered the floor in their small but captivating glory. The bubbles that had not been frozen were swept up in the wind, gently fluttering into the crowds.
Alix could only smile admiring as Matthew continued to emit his most powerful attack. Even without the added lighting effect, Matthew shone like a star. Oh how much pride welled within her chest as she watched her ally light up this place like the brilliant sun. With the love and adoration that the two had built their bond upon, Alix held her most heartfelt smile, which alone lit up her face. Never before had she smiled in such a manner, and she probably wouldn't express this look ever again in her lifetime. 'Thank you…Matthew…'
Finishing his act, Matthew's flames began to dwindle then die away. Compared to the blast that he had emitted from his small body, his minute tail flames were nothing. That coupled with the fact that summoning that inundation of firepower had evaporated his energy. Just having enough oomph to flip and land as the lights flicked back on, Matthew landed near Alix and Matthew, who beamed the same jubilant expression. He bounded forth, leaping up onto Alix's arm, then shoulder, while Mikey tackled Alix's mid section. She nearly collapsed with the boys' tackle, but managed to stumble but stay aloft. Laughing and patting the two, she looked up to see and hear the hollers and howls of the euphoric crowd. Grinning in thanks, the three flashed a few waves.
Eager to reward her two boys, Alix turned to quickly exit the area, escaping through the doors in which she entered. A strong feeling of pride wafted around her, as she felt her appeal had turned out pretty solid. Crossing her fingers as she passed through the doors, Alix prayed that they passed to the next round.
Aki looked around as the contest area seemed to explode with people all at once. Were contest really that big of a place to come to? They all my be coordinators, but more then half of them looked rather strong. Oh, just the thought of battling a strong trainer made her shiver with excitement.
Aki turned to look at the Raichu when a person caught her eye. She turned slightly and acted as if she was looking at the people who were coming in. It seemed like he knew something about her little Raichu pal that was following her. She didn't understand what he was doing or even if he really was doing anything at all. But by looking with a close eye she could tell, the blonde would defiantly be someone to get close to.
She then saw that his gaze had moved on to her. She stared blankly at him for a second. Why was he staring, she knew she looked rather...ragged but still. She tilted her head when he smiled slightly, did he like what he saw. Was he the kind of guy who liked them dirty? What a strange man. Strange man indeed.
Well, it seemed as if everyone in the room knew each other and started to talk, which left poor little Aki alone in the corner. She walked into the corner and sat down with her face in her knees. Why was she here again? OH, right, she needed to ge-, help the Pichu kids get a home.
Aki lifted her head and she looked around. Well, there were quite a few people that could benfit, or well, people who would "enjoy" a new companion. One of course had to be Alix. Hmmm, maybe that Serenity girl as well. So many choices....
Almost with the end of her thoughts one of the judges called out and said the order for the contest. It seemed as if she would be going fourth in the line up. Four, not a bad number. This allowed her to watch her competition after all. She didn’t have a clue what she was going to do for her combination or whatever it was called.
First off was Oozora. He looked….rather normal. She was expecting more for a contest person. You know, with the big flashy costume and everything, but no. She gave a slight sigh before folding her legs Indian style and began to watch. His performance was beautiful. That was the first word she would say if she had to say anything about it. But to her, it felt like it was missing something. Something truly important. What could it be?
After Oozora, came Mr. Big shot, Tray Waters. He wasn’t dressed up either?! He was in his regular clothing. How boring. She thought out of all the contestant males, he would be sure to dress up. After all, just by looking at him, you would get the feeling that he loved to be looked at. Just by his expressions and such, that’s the kind of feeling she got anyway.
Unlike Oozora’s performance, Aki couldn’t help but look at the contestants performance. It was like a battle. She watched each and every movement of the Kabtops as it ready itself for a Surf attack while the Grovyle unknowingly moved closer and closer. But of course, Kabtops had forgotten that Grovyle being a grass pokemon was not really effected by water attacks.
The Grovyle then erupted from the sea of water with a powerful grass attack. Oh the energy in the performance just made her stand up with excitement. She knew that everyone looked at her, but she really didn’t care. The performance was to spectacular. The finisher was what done Aki in. Oh, she gave a shudder of excitement just looking at the finisher and collapsed backwards. What a show. What a man!
Then after Tray came Alix. Cute little Alix. Aki couldn’t help but give a blush when she came onto stage with her skirt. Not to mention the bright red blush and the wave. It was so cute, it was almost unbearable. If the coordinator was this cute. Aki couldn’t wait to see what her pokemon were like.
Alix performance was a good one, but not as exciting as the battle to Aki. But of course Aki being herself couldn’t let her eyes off the girl that constructed the whole thing. She was cute. Cute beyond compare. Ah, how she couldn’t wait to congratulate her on a job well done when she came back in from her performance. PERFORMANCE! That’s right! She was right after Alix. Oh well, it looked like she wouldn’t be making it to the finals any time soon.
She stood up and dusted off the dust on her jeans and walked towards the contest stage. As she walked towards the contest stage she saw many people gathering around Tray. Hmm, must have a said something worth listening to. Hmm, she would need to hear it after her performance.
Just as she was about to walk onto stage she heard her name being called. Then a loud cheer. She gave a small laugh before saying to herself, ”Prepared to be disappointed.” She walked onto stage and the cheer almost came to a halt. She could see that everyone was giving her the weirdest look in the world. Well, She probably would too. After all, her hair was dyed black, her clothes were a mess. IN general she looked a hot mess. She gave a wave before reaching for her belt. She grabbed the two only pokeballs on her belt and threw them into the air. The first to appear was Aki’s trustworthy Combusken. He came out of his pokeball with the usual flash of light. He landed on stage and gave a quick kick in the air to demonstrate his speed and strength before looking at the crowd with a big smile. He then looked at the bottom of his feet where Oddish was released and was running around him joyfully with the biggest smile on her face. Combusken gave the classic anime sweat drop and gave a sigh before picking up the Oddish. Combusken then put the Oddish on his shoulder and gave a peace sign whilst the Oddish gave the cutest smile that it possible could give. Well, it was time to start. What to start with, what to start with. Ha! That should work out nicely! ”Oddish use multi-Energy Ball and Combusken spinning Flamethrower.” With that Oddish gave a happy yelp and jumped off of Combusken shoulder before landing on her feet. She opened her mouth and a big ball of green started to form. It grew and grew until it was about ready to burst. Well, it actually did burst. It burst into several smaller Energy Balls that moved out into a circle. Combusken gave a smile before picking up Oddish with his foot and throwing it into the air. He then started to spin around. An orb of fire formed in his mouth. It then erupted from his mouth creating a non-stopping spin of flames. The Energy Ball circle glew a slight green as the fire started to touch it. A green aura soon connected each of the Energy Balls to each other keeping the fire trapped with in the green barrier. Aki gave a small smile before saying, ”Now Combusken Sky Uppercut!] Combusken pushed off the ground with a glowing claw; his body still spinning from the earlier Flamethrower began to glow a brilliant red as the fire he spew earlier followed closely behind in a spiraling fashion. The crowd gave a roar of cheer as Combusken climbed higher and higher with the spiraling fire behind him. Combusken then caught the now falling Oddish in his other hand as he continued to ascend. Just as he was to reach the vertex of his jump he gave a spin the opposite way causing the spiraling fire to break. Leaving nothing but red (from fire) and green (from Energy Ball) particles. The two pokemon then started to make there descent slowly and calmly. That was until Aki said, ”Combusken Peck and Oddish Sludge Bomb!” Combusken then flipped down so that his beak was facing down and felt to the ground with a new speed. His beak aglow with energy. Energy streamed off his beak leaving a trail of energy falling with Combusken and Oddish. Just as Oddish and Combusken where about to hit the ground Oddish let out a bunch of Sludge Bombs and covered the ground with smoke. Everyone in the audience became quiet as all tried to see what happened ot the pair of pokemon. Complete silence had fallen over. ”Oddish, Flash!” said Aki breaking the silence in the contest hall. After that a bright light flashed through out the whole contest hall getting rid of all the smoke and leaving a smiling Combusken and Oddish in its wake. The crowd erupted with a cheer. Aki gave a small laugh and a wave before returning her pokemon to their pokeball. She then gave a small wave and ran off stage. [/blockquote]
Post by Akika Miroku on May 20, 2010 7:07:15 GMT -5
Akika had no way in hiding anything. Tray Water’s presense made her slightly angered, seeing she had claimed her Alix as her own, and with the male being around, she was feeling that Alix suddenly was not noticing her. Her face kept buried into her oneechan’s pants, her eyes tightly closed, as she let out a small sigh. Sparkle, taking notice on this, however, did not do a single thing. He was just happy to have met a new person, who could possibly become his own friend in the future. Instead, Momo nuzzled her trainer’s legs, letting out happy chirping sounds as her tail swayed slightly, brushing against the ground a bit.
Just as Akika was about to speak to Tray, to tell him to back off from her favorite ‘sister’, the announcement was called out. Little Akika looked up to the ceiling, as if she was looking for the source of the voice, then blushed a bit when her name was announced as well. Right after Aki… Wait… Oh yea, Aki. Not herself.
Sweatdropping slightly at her own confusion, Akika allowed herself some time to think of a contest plan. She could easily just let her pokemon do as they pleased and get as many points as possible, but she doubted it would do any good, seeing Sparkle tried that last time and they obviously did not win. A frown stayed on the child’s lips as she remembered the last contest. It was absolutely horrible.
Shaking her head of the thought, Akika pulled away a bit from Alix and began to awkwardly braid her own hair into two cute pigtails. Momo smiled encouragingly and wagged her busy tail as the five year old child blushed at the compliment from her own pokemon.
Looking around slightly, the child saw Oozora begin to perform. A hint of gleam was in the kindergartener’s eyes as the older male performed. Sparkle jumped back and climbed onto the little girl’s head, resting her chin on the child’s head and blinking at the show. He frowned, knowing all too well that he would not be able to do as well. Akika saw from the corner of her eyes of Momo too lowering her ears uncertainly. She brushed along her trainer’s leg again and yipped nervously. Akika frowned and nodded. She shared the same nervousness. Alix left the little girl during Oozora’s performance, making her slightly nervous.
When Tray performed however, the girl’s eyes were only narrowed into slits of glare. She did not like this man already. He tried to take her Alix from her. Sparkle and Momo watched intently as the little girl thought out of a plan of how to go into this contest. Before she knew it however, it was Alix’s turn. Turning immediately to the stage, the five year old child’s eyes gleamed and sparked with immediate interest. She jumped up and down and waved the best she could to her sister.
”Alix-oneechan!! Chu can do it!!” She giggled, as Sparkle and Momo too joined in with squeaks and yips. When her sister was done, she was met with a great burst of jealousy. Alix was so pretty… Looking down to her own clothing, the child couldn’t help but to feel slightly worried. However, she had no time to think about it now. Aki was next, then it was herself.
Taking a small gulp, the little child moved to get ready to perform. With Sparkle on her head and Momo at her feet, the child got into the room, looking quickly into the mirror. She looked like any ordinary kindergartener. With a frown, the little girl looked for make-up, but found none. Not that she’ll know how to use any of it anyway; it was just going to be used for a burst of confidence.
Now, she had to choose who to play in this contest. Sparkle seemed like an obvious choice, but the little girl wanted to let her other pokemon have a chance at something first. When reminded of so, three pokemon came to her mind; Honey, Bubbles, and Momo. Those three were never in a battle (Well, Momo never really got a chance to), and were more timid than the other pokemon she had for battles, which were Sparkle, Teddy and Curly. A nervous glance traced over to her pokeballs.
Honey seemed like a choice she just did not want to make. Sure, she loved her little caterpillar, and knew for a fact that her little Honey wanted to be in contests and win, but what he could do was so limited. The girl frowned at the thought of crushing her worm-pokemon’s dream. Should she let him get a try, at least…?
Then there was Bubbles. This little baby mouse never got a chance to really battle, and didn’t seem like the time that wanted to battle in the first place anyway. Akika blinked a few times as she thought of the polka-dot pokemon being on stage and nodded. That seemed to be a good choice. Bubbles was in.
Now Momo… In honesty, Akika didn’t know much about Momo just yet. She didn’t know if this pokemon was wanting to be in shows or train mainly for battle, and knowing the attacks seemed far off. With a sigh, the litle girl thought for a moment, when the door opened in front of her, making her gasp softly.
Akika walked out timidly after she returned Momo into her Pokeball, Sparkle still resting on her head. He looked around and blushed as Akika too first stood on the stage in silence. She was greeted with claps and several cooings from her young age taking advantage. Again, several moments passed before the little girl tossed a pokeball.
The pokeball opened and released a little Azurill, who looked around at the crowd and flattened her ears. A large blush appeared on the blue pokemon’s face as she looked around timidly. Akika almost began to cry right in the middle of the stage but held herself back from doing so. Alix didn’t cry at the contest!
Akika sighed and tossed another pokeball next to Bubbles. Bubbles looked beside her at the light and tilted her body slightly to see Honey emerge from the light. Akika bit her lips. She was going to let Honey enjoy himself.
The announcements and voices around her seemed to crowd her ears so much that the little girl began to tremble. Where was Alix…? Sparkle noticed his trainer shaking and sweatdropped. His ears lowered. Again!?
Honey too noticed not only the trembles of his own trainer, but to his partner beside him as well. Bubbles trembled and with tears in her eyes, looked to Akika and Sparkle nervously. What was she supposed to do in this crowd…?
”Pichu!” Sparkle squeaked, pointing to Honey then to Bubbles, giving instructions, knowing Akika was not going to just yet. Bubbles’ face seemed to light up at Sparkle’s voice, and Honey’s encouraging nudges. Immediately, she opened her mouth and let out water, using Water Gun. Honey too looked up and allowed strings to shoot out of his mouth, wrapping around the water cleverly and shine in the air for a moment.
But that was it. Akika was no longer one that could be considered standing on the stage with her three pokemon. When the String Shot and Water Gun landed, it splashed all over, making them all wet. Bubbles giggled happily and wiggled her feet in glee, as Honey sweatdropped nervously and looked around, not knowing what to do next. Sparkle too was clueless as to what to do next. Akika, the one who should have been telling them all what to do, was not in her right mind.
”Alix-oneechaaaaann~~~~” The child whimpered and looked around. Where was she!? Where was Alix!? Did she just leave her!? Not seeing her in sight, the child’s lips trembled, and she just slumped down in the middle of the stage, wailing. ”Alix-oneechaaaaaannnn~~~~~!!!”
Bubbles, seeing her trainer cry, also got out of control and began to cry as well. Honey and Sparkle panicked, clueless as to what to do, and looked around for help. When Sparkle saw the exit, he looked up to his trainer and poked her now-tear-stained-cheek, then pointed to the exit. Akika blinked her teary eyes and got up, immediately running off the stage, calling, ”Alix-oneechan!? Alix-oneechaann~~!!!?”
Sparkle blinked a few times as Bubbles quickly bounced after her trainer, crying still, now from her trainer suddenly leaving her. Sparkle sighed and helped Honey onto his back before following after them, bowing his yellow head slightly before leaving the stage.
Post by Serenity (Disabled) on May 24, 2010 23:27:24 GMT -5
"I'm doing fine, thanks for asking," Serenity replied to Alix's question about her well being with her soft and feminine voice. After speaking with her old friend for a little while, Serenity soon started to noticed that Alix indeed appeared to have been looking..well..a bit difference. Maybe, she had been having a few rough days every once and a while or something like that. However, before the blond could ask her friend anything else, another familiar face arrived inside of the building. A handsome and charming young man with white hair, better known as her good friend Oozora. A warm smile soon appeared onto Serenity's face as she waved her petite hand toward him. She was just about to start making her way over toward him to greet him, but become she could even take a single step, a heavy wind of dust rushed down the hallway and danced around the blond's body, nearly messing up her well groomed hair and fashionable school girl outfit. The small sandstorm didn't only cause damage to the girl's grooming, but it also scared her beloved Eevee. Halo quickly jumped into her trainer's arms for protection. "Don't worry Halo, I got you," she whispered to her Pokemon as she continued to block most of the dust and wind away from her gentle Pokemon. After the small sandstorm was over with, Serenity quickly glanced around and noticed another familiar looking guy making his way over toward him. "Oh hey Tray," she spoken calmly, she was a bit irritated by his sandy arrival, but she simply remembered to maintain her friendly persona. A few seconds later, the intercom soon sounded and one of the judges had finally stated the order that the contestants would perform. "Hmm, we're last. I guess we should go ahead and get dressed before it's our turn to shine," Serenity suggested as she smiled downward at the Eevee resting in her arms. Halo simply nodded her head and returned a soft smile back to her trainer. "Excuse us," Serenity spoken softly toward the couple of people around her as she picked up her bag and excused herself toward the dressing room. Pushing the door open to the dressing room, Serenity and Halo went rushed inside and the locked the door behind them. They didn't want any interruptions nor any possible perverts disturbing their peace of mind. Serenity carefully placed her bag onto the floor, and slowly started to pull out a shimmering silver dress, and a pair of silver tights out. She took in a deep breath and then glanced over at Halo with a half smile before walking toward an open bathroom stall and quickly, but yet carefully dressing herself for perfection. Meanwhile, as Serenity was busy preparing herself, Halo keep herself busy by snooping into her trainer's bag, pushing Serenity's sparkling silver heels out as well as a silver antique looking locket in the shape of a star. "Halo, are you doing out here?" Serenity asked softly as she exited the bath stall and rushed over to check on her Pokemon. Halo's huge, brown eyes quickly started to widen a bit as she glanced upward at her trainer's appearance. She was indeed a beautiful young lady, but her unique outfit this very moment seem to have enhanced her beauty with a bit of a mysterious and futurist demeanor. "Well, I see you've been keeping yourself busy," she laughed a little, bending over to to slip on her heels. "Pwhii" Halo cooed softly as she pick up the locket with her petite mouth, and placed it right beside her trainer's feet. "My locket, thank you Halo." she replied gratefully as she placed the star shaped locket around her neck. "Okay, one more item and I should be ready to go," she stated, pushing out a pair of matching star shaped earrings to match her locket. She then slowly watched over toward the mirror and glanced at her appealing reflection. She couldn't help, but to release a soft giggle from her lips. She didn't look the simply Serenity anymore, but more of a goddess of the cosmetic world. "Okay Halo, I'm not going to use you this time, but I do want you keep yours eyes open widen during the performance. That way you'll get a general idea about how things work in the contest world," she explained carefully to her young Pokemon. Halo simply nodded and waited for further commands. "Oozora is around here somewhere, so I want you to go out and find him. Don't worry, he'll keep an eye on you," she added with a smile. Halo smiled back and waited for her trainer to open the door, so that they could exit from the quiet bathroom. With another deep breath Serenity carefully pushed the door opened, and Halo pranced down the hallway of where she last seen her trainer's friend standing. Serenity on the other hand calmly started making her way toward the stage with a case of the butterflies in her stomach. She didn't actually get a chance to see her opponents perform, but she for a fact that they had all expressed the judges as well as their audience like always. Which meant that she would have to go for it even harder to express the judges and the audience awaiting her arrival. "Please welcome, Serenity Song to the stage!" The audience quickly released loud cheerful roars and thundering claps as they started welcoming Serenity to the stage. The crowd was truly already worked up from the previous trainers and they were now waiting anxiously for the blond haired girl's performance. She peeped from behind the stage, and she quickly took in another deep breath. "Okay, we can do this. We just have to show them our best," she said to herself softly, trying to comfort herself before walking out onto the center stage. She carefully gripped her star shaped locket and closed her brilliant eyes as she started to recite a prayer that she used before very contest and battle. After she finished, she slowly took a few steps toward the stage, and within a few seconds her nervous walk become a powerful and confident strut along the stage. Standing in the center of the stage, Serenity calmly flashed the crowd her signature smile that revealed all thirty two of her pearly whites as well as the alluring twinkles of light shining through her deep, sapphire blue eyes. She slowly pulled out two red and white orbs from behind her back and tossed them elegantly into the free air. "Hoshi, Honor, it's show time!" she shouted loudly. A blast of dazzling and smoothing luminescence shone throughout the whole stage. A ray of stars soon twirled around the stage gracefully and within a few seconds the stars burst into stardust and the silhouette of a cutesy and prideful Clefairy appeared in front of Serenity. A second later, a peaceful, but yet mysterious mist soon spread alongside of the Clefairy with great length and within a few seconds, a noble and handsome Dragonite stood tall and mighty in front of the angelic female. "Cosmic Power!"Immediately, Hoshi started to focus all of his concentration onto absorbing some mystical powers from space to create a radiant and beautiful orb of cosmic elements that composed of twinkling stars, roaming meteors, and vibrant cosmic rays that help enhanced the mysterious and breathtaking appearance of enchanting orb. Serenity quickly glanced her attention toward the light technician, giving him a quick nod of her head, and within seconds the technician turned all of the lighting around the entire room. A content smiled then shown onto the trainer's lips before she turned her attention back onto her Pokemon. Hoshi started to focus intensively on the gleaming orb that started to increase slowly in its size as Hoshi carefully upheld it over his upper body. The orb of cosmic power was now shining even more brilliantly as ever, causing the whole stage to be illuminated with thrilling shades. The glowing of the orb resembled that of a crystal ball being kissed by the golden rays of the warm sun, giving off the reflection of a stunning rainbow. "Honor, use Extreme Speed!"The massive Dragonite swiftly released a sharp roar from deep inside of his great body. The Dragonite then elongated his mighty wings, showing off his rare wingspread as well as the stunning hue of his emerald green wings. A pure white light soon engulfed the giant dragon's body and within a swift and hearty flop of his powerful wings, Honor, flew upward with incredible speed as the ambient light graced his body. Despite their bulky appearance, Dragonite were known to be incredibly agile and fast. In additional, adding an legendary move such as Extreme Speed simply strengthens their gift. Honor was now dominating the free air around them with great grace and elegance as he performed various advanced aerial stunts to show off his speed and control. After sharing his aerobatics with the crowd, Honor soon dove downward into the direction of the cosmic precious orb of cosmic power being held by Hoshi. Honor soon started circling the glowing orb, causing it to rotate from the force of the wind surrounding his body from the effects of his Extreme Speed still being active around his body. "Keep your speed up a bit more!"Serenity commanded with poise. Honor simply nodded his head in obedience, and swiftly turned up the power of his Extreme Speed. The cosmic orb then started to rotate even more rapidly as Honor's speed began to increase even more than before. After a few more minutes of revolving around the cosmic orb, Honor soon came to a quick pause, locking his keens eyes on the site of the glowing orb. The white light surrounding the Dragonite swiftly started to increase effortlessly as the Extreme Speed continued to power up, and within a second the gigantic Dragonite Pokemon fired his body foward, right into the direction of orb. Honor's body being taken over by both the blinding light and the blinding speed of his attack as he continued to rush toward the orb being grasped by the petite Clefairy. Once Honor's bulky body pierced through the cosmic orb, the space elements quickly bonded with the force of the Extreme Speed, causing the gorgeous elements oozing outside of the broken orb to bend within the white light surrounding the Dragonite's body. A sweet smile soon appeared onto Serenity's face as she watched her regal Dragonite cruise around the stage wonderfully and majestically with a trail of space elements flowing elegantly behind her Dragon Pokemon. Painting the entire stage artistically, and giving the illusion of space within the air with the help of Hoshi's cosmic power. "Great job you two. Now, Honor use Fire Blast and Hoshi overtake that Fire Blast with Psychic!"Honor and Hoshi both nodded their head obedience as the two of the started to prepare their attacks. Honor then quickly inhale a bit of oxygen into his massive body, sending downward into his huge stomach. There, he started to convert a bit of energy to create scorching flames from deep within. Meanwhile, Hoshi slowly closed his eyes and begun to focus his energy into a strong telekinetic force. While doing so, an dazzling azure light soon surrounded the tiny fairy Pokemon, lifting him up, high into the free air in front of Honor. In turn, Honor soon exhale deeply, sending out a intense blast of all - consuming fire into the shape of an star. The "flaming star" was currently heading right into the direction of Hoshi. Hoshi, feeling the wrath of the fiery attack, swiftly opened his glowing blue eyes, and stopped the powerful fire attack right in its tracts with the help of his powerful psychic attack. Once stopping the attack, Hoshi continued to focus his psychic powers on the Fire Blast, calmly creating a circular container to keep the attack it. Now being held in a circular container, the "flaming star," swiftly started to bend into the shape of a flaming orb. A fiery orb that strongly resembled that of the Sun. "Now Hoshi, decrease the size of that fiery orb, and then use Shadown Ball along with Psychic!"Hoshi then started to focus even more on the fiery orb, carefully using her psychic powers again, this time he used them to compress the mass of the flaming orb. Once he shrunk the flaming orb, Hoshi swiftly started to create a dark purplish-black orb of energy inside of his petite hands, a cold aura then surrounded the Clefairy's hands as the power of the Ghost type move started to flow within the dark orb. Hoshi's deep brown eyes soon started to glow a deep blue hue as he started to use Psychic, focusing the attack on the Shadow Ball. By focusing the psychic energy on the Shadow Ball would internally expand the Shadow ball, increasing its mass and making it more hollow. In the meantime, Honor started beating his powerful wings rapidly to cause a gust of wind to push the small flaming orb toward the Clefairy a bit more toward the center of the stage. Subsequently, Hoshi carefully started to move the immense orb of darkness toward the flaming orb with the help of his Psychic attack. The full orb of darkness slowly came into contact with the meager flaming orb of fire. In contact with each other, the darker orb quickly swallowed the lighter orb, taking it as its "prisoner." Hoshi, continuing to use his psychic powers to increase the the size of the flaming orb again. while at the same time the Clefairy was being very careful with not allowing the flaming orb to oversize the dark orb. The flaming orb and dark orb now resembled a unique form of a solar eclipse, and although the dark orb had swallowed the flaming orb. The flaming orb continued to outshine the dark orb. "The light always overpower the darkness," so an old saying states. Here, in front of many was the manifestation of a phenomenon that usually occurred in the deep purposelessness of space. A parallel unsurpassed by mere artificial erection. A beauteous event that patented the absence of hope yet emanates a sensation of peace through the delineate of light passing through the scenery of the petite sun. The rays of darken light eating away at the rim of the lesser sphere, generating a sentiment of silent tranquility, overlapping the blazing passion of zeal and desire. An embodiment of natural optimism and creativity. Now, it was time for the real finale. "It's time to end this. Honor use Draco Meteor full power and Hoshi use Swift full power as well!"Honor's large, pale stomach soon started release an incandescent light in a breathtaking hue of golden as the Dragon Pokemon started to build up a massive amount of true power from deep within his body to release a meteor shower. At the same time Hoshi's petite fingers soon started to glow the same incandescent light that Honor's stomach glowed, as he started to build up a powerful amount of strength to release a shower of stars into the direction of the mysterious orb resting in front of them. Honor and Hoshi soon reach the peak of their attacks and with a thunderous roar in unison as they both released their superior attacks toward their masterpiece The stage was now feel with a storm of meteors traveling from the left end, and a blast of shooting stars traveling for the right side aiming to collide with the alluring orb, hoping to shatter it into fine pieces. Within seconds, the raging attacks make direct contact with the orb, causing it to burst open with great force and radiance that stretched across the entire stage. A luminous beckon of erupting brilliance. A mild illustration of harmonizing classicism of hues and tints, merging to generating a symptom of artistic oddity. The mind perceives an array of coordinating colors and twinkles, yet the soul percepts nothing shy of sheer of radiance. An ocean of beauty that surpasses the acrimony and loneliness that’s envisioned when one pictures the cold satisfaction of satisfaction of space. A warming sentiment touches the soul through the vibrant colors that kisses the eyes. The Coordinator and her Pokemon had create their own Supernova. A storm of screams and hand claps quickly echoed throughout the entire building as Serenity and her Pokemon's performance came to an end. The young maiden quickly flashed her Pokemon and their audience a stunning smile before returning her partners back into their cozy Pokeballs. It was quite noticeable that Serenity's Pokemon had fulfilled her wishes with great obedience. After returning her Pokemon, she slowly gave the crowd a generous bow, and within a few seconds she strutted off of the stage to find her Halo and her close friend, Oozora.
