Personality: The Good: The first, and probably most notable personality trait that Kiru demonstrates is his charm in which he does manipulate for his own personal gain. He is very clever and often times uses it to his advantage as well, but it has been used to help out others from time to time. Kiru has morals and only ever tricks those who either abuse their own power or who aren't very good people to begin with in the first place. | The Bad: Kiru is very mischievous and often times gets himself into trouble because of this along with his gambling and scamming habits. He is easily mislead by others and has a soft-spot for those in need, aiding whoever he happens to come across. He is also easily infatuated with others but will hide it behind his fake, charismatic attitude. | The Kiru: Kiru is definitely one-of-a-kind but this has had both its ups and downs. He often feels misunderstood and for most of his life has been on his own. He loves music and problem solving. He is very creative due to the many scams where he has hustled people with the use of his Rotom. |
Appearance:
Head: Kiru has a pale complexion with warm, amber eyes and honey-coloured hair. His hair is styled differently for different occasions. For his street performances, his hair is spiked up vertically but often shifts one way or another. When in contests, he usually has one strand loose in the center of his hair-line while the rest of his hair is combed to one side. Kiru's default hair is rather messy and he only bothers with it when he's around people he wants to impress. For his gambling and scamming activities, he often wears wigs or temporarily dyes his hair as to not be noticed along with a pair of dark-tinted sunglasses. Kiru has a slender body with a long torso. | Attire: Kiru wears somewhat formal attire for his street performances which will eventually be used in contests in the future. He wears a black/grey waistcoat over a white collared shirt with a red tie. He occasionally wears a tailcoat with it too. He wears black formal shoes as well and a silver wristwatch with a blue leather strap on his left wrist. For less-formal attire, his clothing ranges from t-shirts and shorts (summer) to light jackets and jeans (spring and fall) to thick jackets with scarves (winter). In the winter he wears a pair of brown boots while he wears red, flat sneakers the rest of the year. |

History: Hometown: Celadon City Kirumatsu Jagura was born in Lavender Town and raised there most of his life. He had an older brother as well and lived with his brother and parents up until he and his parents came to a disagreement that led to him being kicked out. Kirumatsu prefers not to talk about it so he often doesn't go very far back when explaining to others his history (still trying to think of an appropriate, yet interesting reason).
Kirumatsu fled to Celadon City after having been booted out of his home in Lavender Town. The, now 18-year-old, had no other choice but get a job to try and pay for food and shelter. He had been living near the gates on Route 7 since there was the upper level to the gate that was often times used by travelers and occasionally stayed in Pokemon Centers before getting kicked out for not using it for its intended purpose which was for trainers which he was not.
Kirumatsu ended up getting a custodial job where he would fend off Grimer that would climb up from the sewers and pollute the nearby fountains. One day, he had the idea to catch one of the Grimer in order to become a trainer and get access to Pokemon Centers and their services. He spent a good chunk of his salary on PokeBalls and Great Balls but unfortunately failed to catch any Grimer with any of the Great Balls. He knew he would need a Pokemon to weaken them but there was no way of him getting one without having one willingly join him or stealing one.
Kirumatsu resorted to the latter of the two and decided to target people who he considered to be "Pokemon Hoarders" who collected Pokemon rather than treating the poor creatures as friends or even allies. He had heard of the S.S. Anne holding a party and many of the foreigners that were travelling on it had gone to Celadon for its shopping center. Kiru used this opportunity to disguise himself as a "Pokemon Center Attendant" in which he coloured his hair pink and dressed himself in a labcoat. Outside of the center, he would approach people and offer to take their Pokemon. It was a hopeless effort until one, extremely pompous man handed him a Pokeball and told the boy, "Take care of it. Any scratches and I'll have your head."
Kirumatsu took the Pokemon and ran. Fortunately for him, the pompous man was nowhere near fast enough to catch up to him. The police were called but by the time any action could be taken, Kiru was already half way to Vermillion City. His plan was to board the ship somehow and get off at the next stop so long as it was outside of Kanto. The boy, after acquainting himself with his stolen Pokemon, used the Pokemon's ghost-like traits to trick the Sailor checking the tickets and managed to stow away on the boat. Upon it's arrival, Kirumatsu departed in a land unknown to him. A land called Iona.
