16 | Female | Nuru is a Rocket through and through.
He is intelligent, calculating, and sarcastic and can be highly ambitious when the cause calls for it, but for now he’s content. He’s settled into both his professor and gym leader-ship and doesn’t plan on going much further in either as he’s already at the “top.”
| Aaliyah is still reaching for the stars and wants to become a successful coordinator. She, like her brother, is very bright and excels in academia. She’s a great deal more personable and vastly more energetic and naive. Nuru has been protecting her from the evils of the world, so she’s remained innocent despite also being a member of Team Rocket.

The Tanton sibling both have fair skin and tall slender builds. They also both have full heads of dark navy hair, but Aaliyah has their mother’s ruby eyes, while Nuru’s are cobalt like their father’s.
Aaliyah pulls the bulk of her hair into two long tails with pristine white ribbons and often ditches her red glasses for contacts. She wears her academy uniform during the week, finding it redundant to change after class, but can be seen in a feminine pink and white top and tattered jean shorts over the weekend.
Nuru, however stays in uniform at all times: a long navy frock, soft grey vest, and smooth white dress shirt–comfortably unbuttoned. His uniform slacks match the frock and tuck seamlessly into tall back boots.

Aaliyah suffered from night terrors during their youth and her nightmares nearly killed her as she slept walked into the street one frigid December night. Nuru found her cold and shivering outside hours later and with no recollection of what’d happened their parents blamed him for her subsequent frostbite and hypothermia.
As Aaliyah's condition persisted, Nuru began training the famous “Sleeper” evolutionary line, and he took in a munna to keep a watchful eye over her when he could not. Eventually she grew out of these terrors and he resumed control of munna as she started her own team.
Having always looked up to her big brother, Aaliyah began training Psychic Pokémon as well. Her starter Pokémon was a gothita and then, thanks to her brother’s connections within Team Rocket, she obtained a pair of meowstic.

As an aspiring Pokémon Professor, Nuru joined Team Rocket for their resources (and sunny disposition) in his late teens. His passion and studies surrounded dreams and the subconscious and his station made him a perfect fit to take over the Ample Town Gym after Melody's death. In fact, he assumed the position so quickly, many question the true cause of her demise. And then, much like she'd followed him into the Rocket's, Aaliyah followed Nuru to Ample Town.
