♥Personality♥
Having grown up in an abusive house for her first few years, in which helped create the base of her personality, Akika is quite shy. She can also be easily frightened by the presence of strangers of large men, which can in turn make her seem to be anti social towards adults. However, this is far from the case. Once one manages to break her invisible bubble of fear, it is clear as day that this girl is very excitable and loves to have fun. But she isn't active, so quiet activities such as drawing, folding paper, and craving stars out of wooden blocks are her favorite pass time activities. She also enjoys a casual pokemon battle and contests, and can also be seen dressing up her pokemon in various outfits. She also recently started holding interest in make up and doing her own hair, so if one would to help her out or compliment her on her work, it can be quite easy to make her open up.
At the same time however, Akika is an extreme cry baby. She will cry when she's hurt, scared, angry, confused, and when she's even just jealous. As she grew slightly older, she has some control, being able to hold her tears back somewhat, but that doesn't mean she still can easily become emotional over simple stuff. When she starts, she often knows to either try to get herself to stop, or if she can't, will cry into someone else's shoulder that she trusts.
Another big thing with Akika is that she has a very weak immune system. She gets sick easily, and constantly has fevers. When it gets bad enough, she goes unconscious. Usually however, she doesn't need much to get better; just a warm place to rest, and she's healthy the next day.
♥Appearance♥
This girl got her growth spurt... somewhat. She is a little shorter than her average age group, but not too behind. Her eyes are goldish brown and usually holds most of her emotions. Her hair grew out long and is straight brown, and can be either down or held loosely with a blue ribbon. Her skin is pale, but not too pale to seem as if she is sick. When she does get sick, her cheeks becomes red and her eyes become half-closed, so it is easy to tell.
Akika usually wears dresses and skirts. She doesn't seem to hold much interest in pants. Once she met Alix, she grew even more girly, trying to put on make up and have a sense of fashion... or at least as much as a 12 year old can have. A blank stare is what is usually seen with her when one doesn't know her well, but once people know her and she trusts them, she is often smiling.
Akika also has numerous scars under her clothes from the abuse, some a lot newer than others. She hides them pretty well, and doesn't seem to care much about them either as long as no one asks about them.
♥History♥
Akika was born on October 10th, when the flowers were dying away. Her mother named her Akika, which translated out into the kanjis 'Autumn' and 'Flower', in hopes that her daughter would survive even rough times and make a miracle like she did on the day she was born; despite the flowers dying away, she was born as a new life. Her mother and father loved her very much and she had a normal childhood for the first two years, until her mother got pregnant again. Just as any family, mother, father, and daughter together were all excited about the new baby. When the baby was born however, everything turned around. The mother passed away from childbirth.
After the mother's death, the father was saddened, but was also determined to raise the two children to adulthood as a promise to his wife. His wish however was not one that he was hoping for. The baby, which happened to be a son, died suddenly from an illness a month later. Having lost two people he loved dearly in one month, the father had a mental breakdown, resulting in leaving Akika for herself.
The father kept getting worse, despite that three years had passed and his daughter entered kindergarten.
Akika left the house and went to first get her first Pokemon, Sparkle the Pichu. They travelled together and got friends together, also meeting a few trainers on the way. Akika expecially became fond of Alix Taylor, who she considered her big sister.
After Akika left the house to travel with her new Pokemon, she returned home a year later in hopes to see her father worry for her. Instead, she was greeted with a slap and a chuckle. Her father had finally lost it into depression and alcohol, and started to physically abuse his daughter. He hit her, kicked her, and when she tried to run, he pulled her back by her once-long hair. After several days of being trapped in the abusive house, Akika managed to find a way to escape, and ran out the house, telling herself to never return back there.
After she met up with Alix once more, Akika found herself afraid of leaving her side. She always tried to stay close to her, glued to her hip or leg. She hid out with Alix, following her around traveling and practically being raised by her. As years passed, Akika found herself grow more confident with herself and slowly began to work on getting over the abuse. Though it's still impossible to forget it, and sometimes getting flashbacks, she grew to look forward in life and enjoy just being herself.
♥Relationships♥
Father: Terrible. Akika is frightened of him, and he is the main cause of all the trauma. She tries but doesn't understand why he is angry with her.
Alix Taylor: Akika LOVES this trainer! She looks up to her as an older sister and her role model. Akika tries to do everything she can to be like Alix, both for the good and bad.
